Yukie Nakama Crashes Tokiwa's Honeymoon Trip

Actress shares hilarious memories of joining her friend's honeymoon unexpectedly, highlighting friendship's quirky moments.

On February 21, actress Yukie Nakama (45) made headlines as she appeared on the TBS show 'A-Studio+', where she revealed her unexpected participation in her close friend Takako Tokiwa's (52) honeymoon trip with her husband, actor and playwright Keishi Nagatsuka (49).

During the episode, the show's MC, rakugo storyteller Tsurube Shofukutei (73), recounted how he had spoken to Tokiwa before the recording. He shared, "I got some super interesting stories. When Tokiwa was on her honeymoon overseas, she mentioned on the phone, 'I am free! Come with me!'" Nakama, laughing, recalled the amusing confusion of trailing along on someone else's honeymoon, saying, "It felt like I was intruding on their honeymoon trip, but yes, I did join them."

Tsurube chuckled, saying, "That's okay since you are close friends!" Nakama reflected on the incident, stating, "Looking back, I probably didn’t even realize it was their honeymoon at the time. Tokiwa has always loved traveling; she would go to various places even by herself. I think when we were talking about going somewhere, I just thought, 'Oh, there’s space for me!'"

The trip took a humorous turn when they reached their destination, where Nakama explained, "We couldn’t find any hotel rooms. Tokiwa kindly offered to arrange it, and I left it all to her. Then, it turned out there was only one room available at the hotel for the first night—not enough for all three of us!"

This resulted in the unlikely situation where the three of them shared one room on Tokiwa's honeymoon trip. Nakama detailed how Tokiwa and herself shared the bedroom with the big bed, leaving Nagatsuka to sleep on the daybed located outside. She joked about how Nagatsuka ended up feeling cold and even got slightly sick from it afterward, adding, "I genuinely felt sorry for him after all this time. I apologize for the inconvenience!"

Tsurube chimed in, "You must have hesitated at first, thinking, 'Maybe I shouldn’t join this time.'" To which Nakama responded with bemusement, "But I had free time on my schedule! If I had the chance, wouldn't you go? Huh? Wouldn’t you?"

With laughter, she recounted how she only grasped the significance of the trip as their close friends much later, years after the fact. It’s comedic anecdotes like these and the bonds of friendships explored on shows like this one, reflecting how unexpected moments can bring such joy and laughter.
