Bavarian Broadcasting is opening its doors for the youth of the region to offer them unique behind-the-scenes experiences. On March 26 and 27, 2025, young individuals between the ages of 18 and 25 will have the chance to immerse themselves deeply in the world of media production, witnessing firsthand how their favorite news reports come to life.
On March 26, participants will gather at the BR Studio Bayreuth, located at Eduard-Bayerlein-Straße 5. They will be closely shadowing correspondents as they work on current stories, providing insight on how pieces are developed for television, radio, and social media platforms. This direct interaction with the media process aims to spark interest and open pathways for future careers within the industry.
"Wie lange dauert es, einen Drei Minuten-Beitrag zu produzieren?" This is just one of the questions participants will have the opportunity to explore during their time at Bavarian Broadcasting. They will learn about everything from the initial editorial discussions to filming and editing the content. This full-cycle experience ensures they gain valuable knowledge about the intricacies of broadcast journalism.
Following this, on March 27 at Bayerischer Rundfunk, those interested can partake in the full broadcasting experience at the main studio. Under the guidance of experienced staff members, they will actively assist with lighting setups, manage cameras, and operate the mixing desk, ensuring the studio is ready for the live show at 5:30 PM - "Hallo und willkommen zur Frankenschau aktuell." Participants can expect to engage with various production roles and understand the teamwork that's fundamental to the broadcasting environment.
One of the highlights of this event includes personal interaction with host Julia Büchler, who will ask participants about their experiences during filming. "Werde Teil unseres Sende-Teams!" she invites, emphasizing the collaborative nature of broadcast production.
Limited spots are available for each day’s event, ensuring each participant can receive ample attention and hands-on experience. Participants are encouraged to register early as spaces will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. If all spots fill, a waiting list will be available.
For young people interested in the media industry, this opportunity is not to be missed. Registration for both events is now open, providing the chance to step behind the scenes and see what it takes to bring news stories to life. Don’t miss out on your chance to get involved with one of Germany's leading broadcasting services!
