Windstar Cruises is getting ready to launch its newest cruise ship, the Star Seeker, which is set to welcome its first guests in January 2026. This vessel will cater to 224 guests and features 112 suites, nearly all equipped with private verandas or breathtaking floor-to-ceiling infinity windows.
The dining experience aboard the Star Seeker will include five distinct restaurants, all covered within the cruise fare. Complementing these options, the ship will boast a full-service spa, fitness center, and refreshed Watersports Platform, promising guests both relaxation and adventure.
According to Stijn Creupelandt, vice president of hotel operations at Windstar, each suite is crafted to provide tranquillity, serving as peaceful retreats on the high seas. He mentioned, "Many of the color palettes onboard are inspired by the sea, sky, and landscapes," ensuring guests can breathe easy and unwind effectively.
The Star Seeker offers 12 different accommodation types, emphasizing flexibility with options for triple occupancy. At the ship's highest tier, two Horizon Owner's Suites will be available at the back of deck 7; these can be combined with adjacent suites for those desiring extra space.
Large verandas, perfect for soaking up the sun or enjoying meals al fresco, will feature in 72 suites. New designs include 30 infinity suites with gigantic sliding glass windows, offering stunning views and integrating the outdoors with the indoors.
Windstar is taking unique steps, as there are no interior cabins on the Star Seeker. The 10 oceanview suites offer plenty of natural sunshine and have features like mosaic glass showers and customizable bedding options.
Every suite is equipped with conveniences such as fully stocked mini-bars, interactive TVs, and fresh fruit, plus extra amenities based on suite categories. The uppermost categories come with luxuries like Illy espresso machines and complimentary canapes, setting the stage for indulgent experiences at sea.
Currently under construction in Portugal, Star Seeker will kick off its maiden voyage with a transatlantic sailing from Malaga to Miami. Post this inaugural travel, the ship has enticing Caribbean voyages planned before it heads to the West Coast of the United States for summer adventures.
After exploring the scenic beauty of Alaska, the Star Seeker will traverse to Japan, reintroducing popular itineraries and later wrapping up with journeys across Southeast Asia. This ambitious schedule highlights Windstar's commitment to delivering memorable seafaring escapades.
