Weather Forecast Predicts Mixed Conditions Across Vietnam

From sunny days to possible thunderstorms, varying temperatures are expected in different regions

The weather forecast for March 23, 2025, predicts a dry night with occasional morning fog in the Northern and North Central regions of Vietnam. The Northwest area, however, will experience some showers and thunderstorms overnight. Despite the chill that accompanies nighttime, the forecast suggests a sunny day ahead, making it perfect for outdoor activities.

Hanoi is anticipated to have a cloud cover in the morning, which will eventually clear, allowing for sunshine throughout the day. Temperatures in the capital will range between 17-20 degrees Celsius during the night, with daytime highs reaching 24-27 degrees Celsius. According to forecasts for the upcoming week, the temperature is expected to rise, peaking at around 34-36 degrees Celsius by the week's end.

The Northwest region will see a drop in nighttime temperatures to between 12-15 degrees Celsius on March 23, with areas potentially dipping below 10 degrees. By midday, expect maximums to rise to 25-28 degrees Celsius, with some locals possibly witnessing highs above 28 degrees Celsius. As reported, the weather will remain primarily dry, characterized by light winds.

In the Northeast, the temperatures are set to range from 14-17 degrees Celsius at night, lifting to optimal afternoon highs between 25-28 degrees. The weather conditions will mirror those of the Northwest, with calm winds anticipating a chilly morning and night.

Further south, from Thanh Hoa to Hue, the temperature for March 23 is pegged between 15-18 degrees during the night and warming to 24-27 degrees during the day. The North will remain overcast, with no rain expected at night and morning fog expected at dawn. In contrast to the North, residents in the South can anticipate cloudy conditions along with potential rain at night and even a possibility of thunderstorms.

In Da Nang and down through Binh Thuan, nighttime temperatures are expected to drop between 18-21 degrees Celsius in the North, reaching 21-24 degrees in the South. Daytime highs will vary too, with anticipations of 24-27 degrees in the Northern area, while places in the South could see highs scaling up to 29-32 degrees. Days will generally be sunny, while nights may bring some rain.

The Central Highlands is forecasted to stay mild, with temperatures hovering between 15-18 degrees Celsius overnight and reaching highs from 26-29 degrees. There will be cloudy conditions overall with a likelihood of localized rain showers later in the day followed by sunny intervals.

In comparison, the South is expecting significant warmth, with projected nighttime temperatures around 24-27 degrees and daytime maximums projected at 31-34 degrees. Notably, locations in the Eastern region may see temperatures soaring above 35 degrees. As the day draws to a close, evening rain is likely.

Moreover, warnings are in place for the maritime areas. Recent communications report that the northeastern sea area has experienced rough conditions due to winds reaching levels of 6-7, accompanied by gusts of 7-8. With impending waves between 2-4 meters high, sea travelers are advised to exercise caution.

Overall, experts advise that individuals should prepare for drastic temperature fluctuations across regions, especially in areas where thunderstorms may develop. The potential for tornadoes and severe weather conditions remains high, particularly amid thunderstorms, which could lead to strong winds, hail, and even lightning strikes during such occurrences.
