Weather Forecast For Early March Revealed

Cold temperatures and varied conditions expected across regions as winter transitions to spring.

Early March weather is shaping up to be quite diverse across different regions, with forecasts from meteorological agencies indicating notable temperature fluctuations and various weather conditions.

According to the Russian Hydrometeorological Center, known as Gidromet, early March will see persistently cold weather with temperatures remaining around 2 degrees below normal for this time of year. Gidromet spokesperson Vilyand reported, “From Friday through Sunday, nighttime temperatures will range from minus 1 to minus 5 degrees, with daytime temperatures hovering around 0.” He added, “Only on the last day of February and the first two days of March will temperatures be 1-2 degrees above normal.”

While the weather remains frigid, residents of Tambov should brace for icy conditions. The forecast for February 24 shows no significant precipitation, but slippery roads are expected. Temperatures will be particularly severe, with nighttime temperatures dropping to between minus 11 and minus 13 degrees. Daytime temperatures will barely improve, ranging between minus 7 and minus 9 degrees, coupled with northerly winds of 7-12 m/s.

Moving to Uzbekistan, the National Hydrometeorological Service, known as Uzgidromet, has released its own forecasts indicating rapid weather changes. Tashkent, the capital, will experience partly cloudy skies with the potential for light rain. The eastward winds are predicted to shift, blowing from the west at speeds of 7-12 m/s. Uzgidromet predicts nighttime temperatures to be between +7 and +9 degrees, with daytime highs reaching +15 to +17 degrees.

Interestingly, the forecast for the Republic of Karakalpakstan and Khorezm province includes variable cloudiness and light snowfall expected at times. Conditions may also be foggy. Here, nighttime temperatures are expected to drop significantly to between -3 and -8 degrees, whereas daytime temperatures will see only slight increases, remaining between 0 and -5 degrees. Notably, on Ustyurt, nighttime temperatures could fall between -10 and -15 degrees, with daytime highs of -3 to -8 degrees.

Looking at Bukhara and Navoi regions, Uzgidromet advises the weather will be mostly cloudy with expected precipitation, including rain and snow at times. Wind conditions will remain similar to those elsewhere, blowing from the west at 7-12 m/s. Nighttime temperatures are forecast to hover around 0 to +5 degrees, whereas daytime temperatures will range from +2 to +7 degrees. The northern parts of Navoi, will see nighttime lows of -5 degrees, with daytime temperatures reaching between 0 and +5 degrees.

Further south, temperatures will rise slightly, especially across Tashkent, Samarkand, Jizzakh, and Syrdarya regions, where variable cloudiness and light rain are also expected. Nighttime temperatures will remain mild at +7 to +12 degrees, with daytime accents climbing to between +12 and +17 degrees.

Meanwhile, the Kashkadarya and Surkhandarya regions will witness similar weather, where variable cloudiness and some substantial rain are anticipated. Predominately westerly winds may strengthen, at times reaching speeds of 15-20 m/s, occasionally peaking at 23-25 m/s. Temperatures here will register between +5 to +10 degrees at night and climb to +10 to +15 degrees during the day.

Notably, areas such as Andijan, Namangan, and Ferghana are expected to stay dry with variable cloudy conditions. Nighttime lows will remain comfortable at +2 to +7 degrees, proceeding to daytime highs ranging from +15 to +20 degrees.

Lastly, forecasts for mountainous regions within Uzbekistan predict overcast skies with rain and snow showers possible, along with fog at times. Here again, winds shifting direction from the east to out of the west will have similar velocities of 7-12 m/s. Temperature fluctuations will mirror lower altitudes, registering between 0 to +5 degrees at night and slightly higher during the day at +7 to +12 degrees.

The contrasting forecasts across these regions reflect the unpredictability typical of early March. Residents are advised to prepare accordingly, as meteorological services strive to keep the public informed about changing conditions.
