Vogue Williams Shines Post-Divorce On Strictly Come Dancing

The beloved presenter embraces new career challenges and family life after her first marriage.

Vogue Williams, the beloved Irish model and presenter, is preparing to dazzle audiences with her appearance on this year’s festive edition of Strictly Come Dancing. Known for her vibrant personality, Williams is among the stars gearing up to entertain viewers during the Christmas special, set to air on Christmas Day on BBC One. Her line-up includes fan-favorite comedian Josh Widdicombe, paired with Karen Hauer, drag performer Tayce, who will be dancing with Kai Widdrington, and the iconic Harry Aikines-Aryeetey, known as Nitro, partnered with Nancy Xu. Also featured are EastEnders star Tamzin Outhwaite with Nikita Kuzmin, and adventurer Billy Monger teamed up with Nadiya Bychkova.

Speaking of her participation, Vogue expressed, "I'm so excited to join the Strictly family! Carlos would have more of a chance of winning a Nobel prize than turning me Into a good dancer but I am determined to try my very best! I'm loving it so far, bring on the Ballroom floor," showcasing her characteristic humor and determination. Unfortunately, Vogue’s original dance partner, Carlos Gu, faced an ankle injury and had to withdraw, prompting Gorka Marquez to step in for the Christmas special. A spokesperson for the show noted: "Unfortunately, professional dancer, Carlos Gu, has sustained an ankle injury so is unable to participate... Fellow professional dancer, Gorka Marquez will be stepping in for him, and we all wish him a speedy recovery."

While Vogue is making her mark on the dance floor, she continues to thrive in her family life alongside her husband Spencer Matthews. The couple, who married later, share three young children: Theodore, six, Gigi, four, and Otto, two. Despite busy schedules necessitating time apart, Vogue and Spencer prioritize quality moments together. Vogue shared insights from their home life with Hello! magazine by stating, "I usually cook him something [nice] or I do most of the organising of everything in our lives. I think everyone thinks he and I work together all the time. We actually don't; we're separate for most of our day. So at night, we come home, we'll have dinner together, and then we both have our set jobs to make each other's lives a bit easier."

Williams, whose first marriage to Westlife singer Brian McFadden lasted from 2012 until 2017, often reflects on her past experiences. Open about her previous relationship, she quipped on her podcast, My Therapist Ghosted Me, saying, "I got married and divorced really young and I found it painfully embarrassing, because it was just like such an epic failure and it was so public." Over time, her perspective has changed. "Now I look back and I'm like, do you know what, no it's not! It was a learning curve, but again, no one died, who cares?" This transformation speaks volumes about her personal growth and the resilience she embodies today.

The couple's initial meeting took place at a nightclub, and they quickly fell for each other, culminating in their wedding ceremony held amid the beautiful setting of Tuscany, Italy. Despite sharing amicable times after their split, both Vogue and Brian have candidly expressed the challenges their relationship faced due to their move to Australia, which proved difficult for both parties. Vogue humorously recounted this dilemma, reflecting back on how her decisions played out, admitting, "I see now it might have been something if I hadn't run, and if Brian had lived in Ireland."

Vogue and Brian share sentiments about their past relationship, noting how it unravelled with the trials of distance and busy careers. Brian has publicly expressed his happiness for Vogue and her flourishing family life. He commented, "I am delighted for her and I hope she has a lovely family," acknowledging her successful transition moving forward.

Today, Vogue embraces her current relationship with Spencer and enjoys the rituals of family life. Alongside her career commitments, she emphasizes the importance of teaching her children core values like manners and respect: "I always try to teach my kids manners, to be polite and to talk to our neighbours. I tell them to make sure they stop and just say 'Hello', or 'How are you?' or 'How was your day?'." With her approachable nature, Vogue continues to radiate positivity, proving to be not just a star on the screen but also within her own household.

With aspirations and commitments running deep, Vogue Williams is undeniably set to light up the dance floor, all the meanwhile exemplifying the beauty of family, growth, and the elements of rediscovering oneself after past challenges. Her evolution truly highlights how embracing change fosters growth not only personally but collectively with loved ones, making this Christmas special both entertaining and personally meaningful for her and her audience.
