VIT And G2 Shine On Day Two Of 2025 VCT Masters

On the second day of the 2025 VCT Masters Tournament held in Bangkok, the action heated up with some thrilling matchups. The first game saw VIT dominate T1, finishing with a convincing 2-0 victory. Key players, such as Da De Laoshi and Less, showcased impressive skills, each racking up the highest total kills of the match with 42.

The first map, Split, started with VIT securing the pistol round and eco rounds before T1 made their comeback, taking the lead at halftime with a score of 7-5. After some adjustments, VIT managed to surge back, achieving an 8-1 run to close the game at 13-10 against T1.

On the second map, Haven, VIT again took control from the outset, winning the pistol round and sweeping the eco round for a quick 4-0 lead. Both teams exchanged rounds throughout the first half, ending with VIT on 7 points. T1 secured the pistol round again after the switch; nevertheless, VIT continued their dominance, finalizing the match with VIT winning the second map 13-9 against T1.

The second match of the day featured the Americas League's number one seed, G2, facing off against the second seed from the CN League, TE. G2 proved to be the stronger team, winning both maps to secure their place with strong performances, particularly on Lotus, where they finished 13-8 against TE, and then followed up with an overwhelming 13-3 victory on the second map, Pearl.

On Lotus, TE started strong, taking the first pistol and eco rounds before G2 struck back. Trent from G2 was named MVP, showcasing incredible gameplay and strategy throughout the match. The first half ended with G2 leading 7-5. After switching sides, G2 continued their momentum, winning initial key rounds, including one significant round where FengF achieved four kills.

Moving on to Pearl, G2 asserted their dominance right from the first round. TE's efforts faltered quickly, with G2 not allowing them to score any more than three points throughout the match. Leaf was highlighted as MVP for his explosive plays.

With G2 winning decisively, they look forward to the next round, meanwhile TE needs to regroup and recalibrate as they face elimination. This thrilling day of competition sets the stage for more excitement as the tournament progresses.
