VinFast, the Vietnamese automotive company, has officially announced the pricing and specifications of its latest line of electric vehicles dubbed the "Green" series, aimed squarely at service providers and urban transportation. On March 3, 2025, the company revealed the prices for its four new models: the Minio Green, Herio Green, Nerio Green, and Limo Green, with prices starting as low as 269 million VND.
The Minio Green, priced at 269 million VND, is touted as the most affordable option, making it particularly attractive for business owners seeking cost-effective solutions. The Herio Green follows at 499 million VND, the Nerio Green at 668 million VND, and the Limo Green hitting the upper tier at 749 million VND. Customers who place early orders between March 17 and 24, 2025, will enjoy special discounts of up to 15 million VND, depending on the model selected, with non-refundable deposit requirements of 7 million VND, 10 million VND, and 15 million VND, respectively.
All four models showcase impressive electric capabilities, with the Minio Green equipped for urban navigation, offering compact dimensions of 3,090 mm in length. It provides adequate space for four passengers and is powered by a 20 kW electric motor capable of reaching speeds up to 80 km/h, with a range of around 170 kilometers on full charge.
The Limo Green, on the other hand, marks VinFast's foray as their first 7-seater multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) with considerable dimensions of 4,740 x 1,872 x 1,728 mm. Designed to cater to family needs or service demands, it promises almost 450 km of travel per charge, alongside rapid charging capabilities allowing it to switch from 10% to 70% power within just 30 minutes.
"People who run businesses care about cost and profit. While VinFast currently offers free charging, this will be 'a fatal blow' to gasoline service vehicles. Typically, ordinary users might hesitate about the equipment or features of the car, but business people see low costs as an undeniable advantage," remarked expert Hải Kar during the program 'On the Chair'. This insight points to the strategic positioning of VinFast Green models against traditional fuel-powered vehicles.
The market positioning is particularly competitive. The pricing of the Limo Green at 749 million VND is lower than conventional gasoline alternatives like the Toyota Innova Cross, which starts at 825 million and higher for hybrid models. This places VinFast strategically to capture market share in the electric vehicle segment, particularly among taxi services and vehicle fleets.
The expected delivery timeline for the vehicles differs slightly; the Minio Green and Limo Green are slated to begin delivery by August 2025, whereas the Herio Green and Nerio Green will hit the streets earlier, around April 2025. Such timelines suggest VinFast is poised to introduce these vehicles to the Vietnamese market efficiently as it increases its footprint.
VinFast aims to leverage these models not only for direct sales but also through its support platform, the Xanh SM Platform. This service intends to extend significant revenue sharing opportunities for drivers engaging with electric vehicles, aiming for up to 90% of fixed revenue within three years, showcasing unprecedented incentives within Vietnam’s ride-sharing sector.
With these strategic pricing and operational features, VinFast's Green series underlines the company’s commitment to affordable and sustainable transport options, potentially revolutionizing urban mobility patterns. The brand's ability to combine practicality with affordability ensures it remains competitive as the auto industry globally leans increasingly toward electric solutions.
Through its focus on reducing operational costs relative to traditional vehicles, the VinFast Green series promises to attract business owners, particularly those operating service vehicles, by emphasizing security and long-range capabilities without the typical high expense burden associated with electric models.
Overall, with the VinFast Green series, consumers and businesses alike will be able to enjoy the benefits of electric driving, aligning with global trends toward environmental sustainability.
