Viewers Fume Over Good Morning Britain Segment On Harry And Meghan

Tensions rise as hosts discuss the couple's visa status and Netflix show amid calls to move on.

Good Morning Britain viewers expressed frustration with a call to "move on" following a tense discussion about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on Wednesday, March 19. In today’s programme, hosts Susanna Reid and Richard Madeley delivered the latest news to ITV audiences, with commentators Kevin Maguire and Andrew Pierce offering their insights on the key issues of the day.

The conversation turned to Prince Harry’s recently unsealed visa documents, leading to a heated debate regarding Meghan. "I tell you who’s breathing a big sigh of relief this morning in Montecito, and that’s Prince Harry. Because these documents relating to his US visa application... they have been released but they’re heavily redacted. America’s playing nice to our Prince Harry," Richard explained.

Kevin then referenced a comment from President Donald Trump about Harry’s immigration status, suggesting he would not remove him from the US since "he’s got enough problems" already. "I don’t want to do that. I’ll leave him alone. He’s got enough problems with his wife. She’s terrible," Trump previously remarked on X (once known as Twitter).

Conversations then shifted towards Harry and Meghan’s popularity in America, along with Meghan’s new Netflix series, With Love, Meghan - which has now been picked up for a second season. "The ratings are not great," Andrew pointed out, only for Susanna to interject: "Do you know that?" reports the Manchester Evening News.

Susanna then "confessed" that she had tried Meghan’s one-pot pasta recipe three times since watching the show and added: "I thoroughly recommend it, it’s delicious." However, viewers of GMB weren’t too thrilled with the feature, with many heading online to vent their displeasure.

"Who’s bothered about Harry dear lord move on," commented one viewer, and another added: "Oh the shock! #GMB hating on Harry and Meghan again." "Wasting so much time on this, move on," a third audience member remarked, with another echoing the sentiment: "What has happened to Harry, why are he and Meghan unpopular, says the man whose programme has spent years and years running them down." A fifth viewer chipped in: "So @GMB seem to think it’s more important to talk about (i.e. bully) Meghan and Harry than about all those people terrified that their lives are going to be massively impacted by benefit cuts. Nice to know where their priorities lie."

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV1 and ITVX at 6am.
