Viettel Showcases Vietnamese Innovation At MWC 2025

Participation highlights technological advancements and international collaborations for sustainable development.

Viettel, the only representative of Vietnam at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025, is aiming to not only embrace new technology trends but also showcase its innovative products, seek collaboration opportunities, and affirm its position on the global technology map.

Taking place from March 3 to March 6, 2025, in Barcelona, Spain, MWC is drawing approximately 100,000 attendees from 200 countries. It also features over 2,400 participating companies, including giants like Apple, Samsung, Google, Huawei, and Qualcomm. This marks the eighth time Viettel Group has participated and set up a booth at the world's largest mobile technology event.

With the theme "Technology Innovation for Sustainable Development," Viettel is displaying the largest array of products to date, showcasing 22 innovations across three categories: infrastructure, platforms, and applications, addressing the demands for connectivity, management, and data processing. All products are crafted to allow partners and clients to observe and experience firsthand the creativity and quality inherent to Vietnamese technology.

The infrastructure group encompasses networking products within the 5G ecosystem—such as 5G Private, 5G ORAN, and 5G Core—alongside chips developed by Viettel, such as RF-SoC, security chips, and the 5W X-Band FEM module. For example, the RF-SoC chip is presented as evidence of Viettel's mastery over core technology. Visitors can also explore the flexibility and effectiveness of the 5G cloud-native core system and the ORAN system simulated at the exhibit.

The digital platform group includes services like mobile network API provisioning, content distribution, data center infrastructure management systems, new-generation cybersecurity platforms, and smart traffic management systems. The application group features various products like the meCall virtual assistant, Mydio audiobooks, and TV360.

Each product is selected based on its innovative technology and ideas, aimed at improving life quality and supporting communities, contributing economic value to Vietnam, and reaching out to export markets. This large showcase is organized over two floors under the theme of technology innovation for sustainable development—addressing global issues through technological solutions.

A representative from Viettel expressed their intention at the event is not only to present products but also to explore opportunities to meet technology companies and to understand what innovative ideas and products are being introduced. This allows them to grasp new trends and see where Viettel’s products stand on the world stage.

Viettel’s international collaboration is set to materialize with signed business and technology development agreements with significant companies like Visa, China Telecom Global, Pegatron, and Twilio during the event. These partnerships are directed toward implementing advanced technologies and creating modern digital infrastructure, which promises to enrich user experiences and bolster the digital economy, promoting intelligent manufacturing and optimizing supply chains—key foundations for the digital economy.

These agreements are expected to offer Viettel chances to boost technological capabilities and expand its marketplace, bringing Vietnam closer to becoming a digital nation where technology serves effectively for society and individuals.

MWC, being one of the most prestigious telecommunications and technology events worldwide, is highly awaited every year. Viettel’s activities at MWC Barcelona 2025 assert its innovative capabilities and confirm its position on the global technology map.
