Viettel Offers Free Digital Signature Registration Until 2025

Citizens can now create MySign accounts on VNeID and sign documents free for a year.

From now until December 31, 2025, Viettel is offering free registration for new digital signature accounts for citizens using the VNeID application, as announced on March 27, 2025. This initiative also includes free signing on the online public service portal for 12 months from the date of account creation.

Viettel Telecom has integrated the MySign digital signature service into the VNeID platform, which is widely used among the Vietnamese populace. With a level 2 identification account, citizens can easily create digital signatures to sign various documents such as marriage registrations, birth certificates, passports, vehicle registrations, and temporary residence permits directly from their mobile devices, all at no cost for public service signing during the first year.

MySign is a remote digital signature authentication service developed by Viettel Telecom. It enables users to sign documents anytime and anywhere using smart devices like smartphones, tablets, laptops, or personal computers. The service meets the European eIDAS security standards and complies with regulations set by the Ministry of Science and Technology, ensuring the legal validity of electronic transactions similar to traditional signatures.

Viettel anticipates that integrating MySign with the VNeID application will not only help popularize digital signatures among the public but also foster the digital transformation process in Vietnam. This move aligns with the goals outlined in Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW and Resolution No. 03 from the Prime Minister aimed at advancing scientific and technological development, innovation, and national digital transformation.

“Using the MySign remote digital signature offers users numerous advantages, such as saving time and effort while optimizing costs. It allows for quick and convenient signing in electronic transactions, with documents securely stored and preserved,” Viettel stated.

As of now, Viettel has reached a significant milestone, boasting 1.5 million accounts utilizing MySign digital signatures across various sectors, including public administration, finance, banking, healthcare, and insurance. Notably, 60% of these subscribers have self-registered for the MySign digital signature service.

In recognition of its achievements, Viettel was honored in 2024 with two prestigious titles: “CA with the most diverse technology and service applications in 2024” and “CA with the best customer-rated experience in 2024.” Furthermore, it was recognized among the top five public digital signature authentication service providers with the highest service quality in 2024 by NEAC, the Ministry of Information and Communications, which has since been restructured into the Ministry of Science and Technology.

For citizens interested in creating a MySign digital signature on the VNeID application, the process is straightforward:

  • Step 1: Log in to the VNeID application, select "Other Services," and choose "Digital Signature Certificate."

  • Step 2: Select "Register Digital Signature Certificate," choose the provider Viettel MySign, agree to the terms, and confirm your customer information.

  • Step 3: Download the MySign application and register your account by logging back into the VNeID application, selecting "Other Services," and then "Digital Signature Certificate" to register with Viettel MySign. After agreeing to the terms, confirm the successful creation of your new account. Choose "Log in now" to access the MySign application and begin signing documents on the online public service portals.

Users will receive their account name and password via SMS and email. For those obtaining a second digital certificate, the information sent will only include the account name.

Additionally, citizens can connect with Viettel Telecom's official customer care channel on Zalo for service inquiries and support available 24/7 at https://zalo.me/viettel198. For free consultation, they can also call the hotline at 1800 8000 (press 1).

This initiative by Viettel not only streamlines administrative processes for the public but also marks a significant step toward a comprehensive digital society in Vietnam.
