Vietnam-China Border Gate Suspends Activities For Friendship Program

Temporary closure of Huu Nghi border gate aims to facilitate Vietnam-China defense exchange program.

The Huu Nghi border gate will temporarily suspend normal entry and exit for three days to ensure the Vietnam-China border defense friendship exchange program takes place smoothly. The suspension will occur from April 15 to April 17, 2025, at the Huu Nghi International Border Gate in Cao Loc district, Lang Son, to serve the Vietnam-China defense friendship exchange program.

Specific suspension times (Hanoi time) are as follows: on April 15, 2025, from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM and from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM; on April 16, 2025, from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM and from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM; and on April 17, 2025, from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM and from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.

Vehicles not carrying goods will be temporarily suspended from circulating through the checkpoint area at Marker 1.116 - 1.117 from 7:00 AM on April 14, 2025, to 2:00 PM on April 17, 2025, at the Huu Nghi - Huu Nghi Quan International Border Gate. However, vehicles not carrying goods are allowed to pass through the specialized road for transporting goods through the area of Marker 1.119 - 1.120.

From April 15 to April 17, 2025, the customs clearance time at the Huu Nghi - Huu Nghi Quan border gate will be extended to 8:00 PM (Hanoi time) through the specialized road for transporting goods at Marker 1.119 - 1.120 and to 9:00 PM (Hanoi time) through the checkpoint area at Marker 1.116 - 1.117.

The Dong Dang border gate economic zone management board will temporarily suspend entry and exit, import and export through the checkpoint and specialized road for transporting goods at the Huu Nghi - Huu Nghi Quan international border gate to ensure activities at the Huu Nghi international border gate during the Vietnam-China Border Defense Friendship Exchange Program.

During this period, the management board will closely coordinate with the Border Guard Command, the Customs Department, and other relevant agencies to manage the activities of entry and exit, import and export at the border gate area. The goal is to ensure the program runs smoothly and safely while minimizing any disruption to normal operations.
