Vietnam Unveils New Tourism Projects And Innovative Products

New eco-friendly developments and digital marketplaces are set to redefine Vietnam's tourism and product offerings.

Vietnam is embarking on exciting new ventures aimed at boosting its tourism and local economy. The introduction of innovative projects and products is set to redefine the country’s hospitality and commerce landscapes.

On February 25, 2025, Sun Group launched the "Thành phố Vịnh trung tâm Xanh Island" (Green Center Bay Island City) on Cat Ba Island. This ambitious project, rooted in sustainability, aims to create a green tourism hub amid the picturesque Lan Ha Bay. Spanning nearly 50 hectares, it is uniquely positioned as the "heart" of Cat Ba, flanked by mountains and the sea.

According to representatives of Sun Property, which is part of Sun Group, the complex prioritizes eco-friendly architecture and landscaping. “Phong thuỷ hài hoà, kiến trúc độc đáo, tiện ích đa dạng,” the representative emphasized, aiming for the island to become Vietnam's first "Net Zero" tourist destination, attracting millions of visitors worldwide.

This new development features significant green spaces, including the Central Park themed around natural elements and direct access to Ladies Beach Park, which will boast the largest beach on the island. The park is set to open this summer, scheduled to host exciting events like the "Vui Fest Bazzar," showcasing local cuisine and performances, alongside thrilling water sports shows featuring jetski events and fireworks.

Meanwhile, Quang Binh province has taken significant steps to modernize its product offerings. The province unveiled its 3D virtual marketplace which showcases local products under the One Commune One Product (OCOP) program. This innovative online platform allows consumers to explore real-time presentations of OCOP goods from the comfort of their homes, enhancing accessibility and stimulating interest through interactive features. Customers can hear descriptions and access detailed product information with just a click, ensuring reliability and enhancing the purchase experience.

Reported by Thanh Hoa from Báo Quảng Bình, this 3D virtual booth is more than just promotional; it serves as a practical tool for both sellers and buyers, enabling local businesses to reach broader markets without needing physical presence.

Another notable highlight for the country is the upcoming 9th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival, taking place from March 9 to March 13, 2025. This renowned event will feature unique coffee products such as coffee-infused beer, wine, and tea. The presence of cultural groups like Jeonbuk from South Korea is expected to enrich the festival experience, providing vibrant performances during the street festival.

Nguyễn Tuấn Hà, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee, stated, “Lễ hội Cà phê Buôn Ma Thuột lần này là sự kiện quy mô,” reflecting the festival's ambition to attract around 200,000 visitors, including approximately 1,500 international tourists. This festival aims to spotlight the coffee industry’s potential and promote investment opportunities, contributing to the socio-economic development of Dak Lak province.

Local preparations are well underway, with hotels already reporting high booking rates, and stakeholders are collaborating to deliver exceptional experiences for guests. Hotels and accommodation facilities have made substantial arrangements to cater to the influx of tourists anticipated for the festival.

Dassault Systèmes, on the other hand, announced the launch of "SOLIDWORKS CPQ," aimed at enhancing the efficiency of ordering custom products and streamlining distribution. This new configuration, pricing, and quoting service is built on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. It allows companies to quickly generate accurate quotes, taking advantage of AI and advanced technologies to facilitate the production experience.

According to Manish Kumar, CEO of SOLIDWORKS, the launch is seen as a logical progression stemming from decades of innovation. This new service aims not just to improve design capabilities, but to reach new markets and streamline the customer experience.

Vietnam’s advancements, from sustainable tourism projects on Cat Ba Island to the digital innovation of Quang Binh's local products, and the revitalization of traditional sectors through festivals, embody the nation's commitment to modernization and sustainable development.

The diverse new services and products reflect a shifting paradigm toward environmentally responsible tourism and eCommerce, setting Vietnam on the path to becoming a leader in these burgeoning sectors.
