Vietnam Showcases Innovation And Everyday Magic At 2025 Expos

Major exhibitions in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi highlight advances in technology, sustainable living, and creative industry engagement for thousands of visitors.

At the heart of Vietnam's bustling October calendar, two major exhibitions—Vibe Expo 2025 in Ho Chi Minh City and the Vietnam International Innovation Exhibition (VIIE) 2025 in Hanoi—are drawing in thousands of visitors, each offering a unique glimpse into the country's dynamic blend of industry, technology, and creativity. Both events, though distinct in focus, are united by a common thread: showcasing how innovation and everyday moments are shaping a more sustainable and connected future.

At Vibe Expo 2025, held from October 1 to October 4 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC), Nippon Paint Vietnam made a striking return with its "Everyday Moments" theme. According to Dân trí, the concept was a gentle reminder of the value found in the subtle rhythms of daily life—moments that Nippon Paint aims to enrich through its products and solutions. The company's booth, meticulously constructed with its own brand materials, stood as a testament to both craftsmanship and the practical application of its paints, coatings, and adhesives. Large wall panels, steel frame structures, wooden guide boards, and adhesives all came together to create a harmonious, inviting space for visitors.

The design of the Nippon Paint booth was anything but ordinary. A welcoming reception area featured open spaces, comfortable seating, and a large LED screen that hosted daily seminars, making the environment approachable and interactive. In parallel, an exhibition space introduced visitors to eight business segments—including architectural paints, automotive and motorcycle coatings, industrial and marine paints, coil coatings, wood paints, and construction-related products. This comprehensive "one-stop solution" approach allowed Nippon Paint to demonstrate its versatility and commitment to supporting customers at every stage of their projects.

Visitors were encouraged to immerse themselves in hands-on experiences, from testing advanced paint technologies to receiving personalized consultations from seasoned experts. This hands-on engagement, as reported by Dân trí, was more than just a product showcase; it was a vivid narrative where color, innovation, and connection converged. "Besides expanding our footprint in architectural paints, we are focusing on high-tech fields such as industrial paints, marine paints, automotive and motorcycle paints, wood paints, and other products serving construction and finishing sectors," shared Mr. Dao Huu Nghi, General Director of Nippon Paint. He added that their fourth factory in Binh Duong is now dedicated to supplying water-based primers, PU, and UV coatings for the interior wood industry, underlining the company’s commitment to technological advancement and sustainable practices.

The booth buzzed with activity throughout the expo. Expert-led seminars offered practical knowledge and real-world solutions, while interactive zones—such as creative bookmark stamping and photo booths—invited visitors to capture and commemorate their experience. The so-called "moment makers" guided guests through the eight business fields, providing a multi-layered journey that ensured each visitor left with a unique impression.

But it wasn’t all business. Nippon Paint also rolled out a major promotional campaign, aptly named "Buy paint, receive cards – New house, big gifts." Running from September 9 to December 31, 2025, this initiative featured over 300 prizes worth nearly 2 billion VND. Customers who purchased 60 liters of premium paint at authorized dealers received scratch cards, which could be entered online for a chance to win. Prizes included 68 VinFast Feliz Neo electric motorbikes or Honda Wave classic motorbikes, 68 Apple Watch Series 10 (42mm, GPS), and 188 shopping vouchers for popular retailers. This blend of innovation, customer engagement, and tangible rewards underscored Nippon Paint’s role not only as a supplier but as a trusted companion in customers’ everyday lives.

While Ho Chi Minh City buzzed with color and creativity, Hanoi was abuzz with the future of technology and innovation. From October 1 to October 3, the National Innovation Center (NIC) in Hoa Lac hosted the Vietnam International Innovation Exhibition (VIIE) 2025—a flagship event under the National Innovation Day series, organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology. Themed "Innovation for all – Driving national development," the exhibition brought together more than 100 enterprises, research institutes, and startups from Vietnam and abroad, as reported by GenK.

Despite being held in Hanoi’s suburban district and facing less-than-ideal weather, VIIE 2025 saw an impressive turnout. Students from over 15 universities, along with high school and middle school students from neighboring regions, flocked to the event. The sheer diversity of attendees—ranging from curious teenagers to seasoned professionals—highlighted the exhibition’s broad appeal and the growing enthusiasm for technology-driven change in Vietnam.

The event’s 11 key focus areas included semiconductors, artificial intelligence, robotics, augmented and virtual reality, and digital technology applications in education, healthcare, and finance. One of the major attractions was the virtual reality zone by Meta, where long queues of young people waited eagerly to don VR headsets and immerse themselves in interactive 3D environments. The experience, blending vibrant visuals and soundscapes, left many feeling as if they had truly stepped into another world.

Outside, the Vietnam Mobility Festival 2025 added a different kind of excitement. Here, students with driving licenses could test-drive VinFast electric motorcycles and cars—many for the first time—experiencing firsthand the speed, safety, and sustainability of electric vehicles. According to GenK, these test drives not only shifted perceptions about electric vehicles but also encouraged a new generation to consider greener transportation options.

Other tech marvels on display included unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), automated delivery robots by Vietnam Post, and robotic arms mimicking human movement—delighting engineering students and tech enthusiasts alike. The Viettel Money booth, meanwhile, offered a lively introduction to digital finance. Young visitors could explore the platform’s features, snap selfies, and see their photos displayed live on a giant LED screen, reinforcing a sense of belonging to the digital financial community. Free photo printing and QR code activities made the experience both fun and practical, demonstrating how modern finance can be both accessible and engaging.

VIIE 2025 emphasized hands-on experience. Attendees weren’t just spectators; they were encouraged to try out everything from VR headsets and brainwave sensors to smart chips and AI-powered cybersecurity solutions. On the second floor, STEM experience zones and a startup forum drew enthusiastic participation from students, many of whom were encountering quantum applications and simulation technology for the first time—planting the seeds for future study and innovation.

The exhibition concluded on October 3, but not before offering one last opportunity for visitors to discover breakthrough products, network with industry leaders, and explore new trends. The closing night featured the Better Choice Awards 2025 Gala, celebrating outstanding brands and products in innovation, complete with live music performances and a spectacular "carwalk"—a dazzling fusion of automotive display, sound, and lighting.

Together, Vibe Expo 2025 and VIIE 2025 painted a vivid picture of Vietnam’s forward momentum. Whether through the everyday magic of color and design or the transformative power of technology, these events demonstrated the nation’s commitment to sustainable growth, creativity, and a future where innovation truly touches all aspects of life.
