Vietnam Launches Tourism Stimulation Project For 2025

New initiatives aim to attract millions of tourists by offering visa exemptions and deep discounts.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Vietnam has launched its ambitious tourism stimulation project titled "Vietnam - Go to Love". This initiative aims to significantly boost tourism within the country, reflecting the government’s commitment to revitalizing the economy and enhancing visitor experiences.

According to Nguyen Trung Khanh, Director of the Vietnam National Tourism Administration, the project has clear targets for 2025: to attract 22 to 23 million international visitors and 120 to 130 million domestic tourists. This program will be a key component to achieve these goals," he stated.

One of the most noteworthy aspects of this initiative is the visa waiver program, which will allow citizens from Poland, the Czech Republic, and Sweden to enjoy 45 days of visa-free entry to Vietnam. This policy is part of the government's broader resolution to make it easier for potential tourists to visit the country. The waiver, effective from March 1 through December 31, 2025, is aimed at enhancing Vietnam's attractiveness as a travel destination.

Alongside the visa changes, the Ministry has planned various strategies to make tourism more appealing, including substantial discounts on services related to travel. There will be price reductions of up to 50% on accommodations, transportation, entertainment, and even healthcare services. “There will be significant price reductions on various services, including transportation and accommodations, to make tourism more accessible,” added Khanh during his interview.

This project aligns with the government's Resolution No. 11/NQ-CP aiming to boost the socio-economic development of Vietnam through tourism.
