Vietnam Launches Major Packaging And Beverage Exhibitions

ProPak Vietnam and DrinkTech Vietnam set to highlight innovative solutions for sustainable industry growth.

On March 18, 2025, the 18th International Exhibition on Processing, Processing & Packaging Technology, known as Propak Vietnam 2025, opened its doors at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in Ho Chi Minh City. Running concurrently, the 12th International Exhibition on raw materials, equipment, and machinery for the plastics and rubber industry, as well as the second International Exhibition on Beverage Technology, DrinkTech Vietnam 2025, also commenced. The event, hosted by the renowned company, Inforama Markets Vietnam, aims to showcase state-of-the-art advancements across multiple industries.

The exhibitions have garnered interest from over 410 exhibiting units from 29 countries and territories, including India, Germany, South Korea, the USA, Japan, and many others. Attendees can explore the latest innovations as well as engage with professionals dedicated to advancing their respective fields.

During the three days, from March 18 to 20, Propak Vietnam 2025 will showcase cutting-edge technologies pertinent to packaging, food processing, beverage production, materials science, pharmaceuticals, logistics, and cold supply chains. Attendees are expected to benefit from the latest trends, expand professional relationships, and explore optimal solutions to bolster production efficiency. The event mirrors Vietnam's commitment to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050, as laid out during the COP26 agreement.

One of the significant highlights at this year's Propak Vietnam is the Business Matching program, which facilitates one-on-one connections between buyers and global suppliers. This interactive platform allows businesses to explore strategic partnerships, enhancing their market presence, especially as the industry pivots toward sustainability.

Simultaneously held, DrinkTech Vietnam 2025 focuses on the beverage sector, assembling key industry players displaying technology and seeking collaborative opportunities. A high-profile DrinkTech Conference will accompany this exhibition, with the theme Innovation in the beverage industry: Policies, technology, and sustainable packaging. This forum aims to address current advancements, market trends, and sustainability strategies patiently nurtured within the beverage sector.

Ben Wong, the General Director of Inforama Markets Vietnam, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration among these exhibitions, stating, “The combination of ProPak Vietnam 2025 with Plastics & Rubber Vietnam 2025 reflects the tight-knit relationship between packaging and the plastics and rubber industries. Our focus increasingly turns to sustainable production solutions and material optimization, leading to comprehensive support for enterprises striving to tap advanced technologies across both fields.”

At the exhibition's launch, Le Thi Nhu Hanh, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Packaging Association, reiterated the event's significance as it allows domestic and international businesses to not only stay updated on trending practices but also scout for strategic partners. "This is especially relevant as the market becomes increasingly competitive." She noted the packaging, plastics, and rubber industries are witnessing tremendous shifts toward automation, production optimization, and sustainable practices.

Trần Việt Anh, President of the Vietnam Waste Recycling Association, highlighted the dual challenge of growth and environmental responsibility. "The plastics and rubber industries have made significant strides, contributing to the national economy, with the plastics sector generating approximately $25 billion annually and the rubber industry achieving exports worth $3.5 billion each year," he stated.

Despite these profits, the rise in plastic consumption raises concerns about waste, necessitating urgent attention to recycling measures. With climate change at the forefront, these exhibitions serve as catalysts for fostering sustainable practices within the industry. The Vietnam Waste Recycling Association anticipates its role as the bridge connecting manufacturers, recyclers, and regulatory authorities to propel waste recycling initiatives forward.

Among the various activities lined up for the duration of the event, international and industry-specific workshops will aim to address practical solutions and policies relevant to the packaging industry working toward the goal of net zero emissions. Themes will include the impact of green technological innovations and sustainable processes within the food industry. The endeavor aims to create new approaches to packaging and processing methods, targeting eco-friendliness and cost-efficiency as pivotal aspects for modern enterprises.

With high expectations of attracting more than 15,000 visitors across the three days, Propak Vietnam 2025 is set to position itself as the definitive event where businesses can expand, innovate, and engage with the latest advancements. The expectation is high for exhibitors and visitors alike, as they explore opportunities for partnership and growth amid the changing economic climates.

The collaborations and innovations showcased during this series of exhibitions not only embrace sustainability but also reflect Vietnam's positioning as it builds its reputation as one of the most notable players on the global stage. With extensive efforts toward adapting to transitions led by technology and environmental responsibilities, the exhibitions send forth waves of optimism for the future of packaging, plastics, rubber, and beverage sectors in Vietnam.
