Enhanced efforts to support people with disabilities and orphans have taken center stage in Vietnam, particularly through the initiatives launched by the Hội Bảo trợ người khuyết tật và trẻ mồ côi (NKT-TMC) provincial committee. These programs have gained traction from government support as well as contributions from community and non-profit organizations, aiming to uplift the living conditions of underserved segments of society.
According to reports, the committee has mobilized over 42.6 billion VND from social sources over the past four years, benefitting 12,877 individuals, including those with disabilities and orphans. Just last year, approximately 15 billion VND was raised and allocated to assist more than 5,082 people.
Chairman Lãnh Thế Vinh emphasized the importance of systematic planning to optimize resources aimed at caring for these individuals. He stated, "Hằng năm, chúng tôi xây dựng kế hoạch với nội dung cụ thể để huy động nguồn lực xã hội hóa chăm sóc, trợ giúp NKT-TMC," illustrating the structured approach taken to implement social support.
Prominent among the committee’s outreach events is the "Chợ 0 đồng" initiative, which stands as a beacon of community spirit, providing essentials free of charge to those who need it most. For many attendees, it's not just about the goods received; it’s about the hope and connection these events bring. A participant, Huỳnh Ngọc Tuấn, shared his gratitude: "Phần quà hỗ trợ từ phiên 'Chợ 0 đồng' hôm nay có rất nhiều thứ... Tôi rất vui khi nhận được sự hỗ trợ thiết thực này."; His joy reflects the impact such programs have on lifting spirits and providing tangible support to families facing difficulties.
Another recipient of support from the “Chợ 0 đồng” initiative, Nguyễn Thanh Tú, who is working as labor with meager monthly earnings, acknowledged, “Sự hỗ trợ này giúp gia đình tôi một phần trong cuộc sống.” These expressions speak volumes about the necessity and heartfelt appreciation for community-driven support.
Looking toward the future, organizations like the CLB Thiện nguyện Nhân tâm Hạ Long continue to collaborate with the NKT-TMC committee to structure impactful programs for community support. The club's chairwoman, Lê Thị Nguyên, shared insights on upcoming efforts: "Nhà tình thương... sẽ phối hợp với Hội Bảo trợ NKT-TMC tỉnh thực hiện 5 nội dung chương trình trợ giúp cho NKT-TMC tại các địa phương trong tỉnh." The intention to fund initiatives such as building homes for those in need highlights the proactive measures being taken to assist the vulnerable.
These efforts not only aim to improve physical living conditions but also seek to instill confidence and hope among vulnerable individuals. The government is backing these movements with calls for more public involvement. Local officials are increasingly vocalizing the need for sustained support, which allows organizations to maintain and expand their outreach.
Through collaborative initiatives, the engaged communities are steadily ensuring no one is left behind. By gathering resources, planning effectively, and connecting with the community needs, programs like these are reshaping the social fabric, allowing for progress and hope among Vietnam's marginalized groups.
Moving forward, the strategy is clear: continued collaboration, community engagement, and the unwavering support of local businesses will be key to enhancing the lives of these vulnerable populations. Together, they are fostering environments where everyone can thrive.
