High salaries and significant job growth dominate the latest rankings, pointing to lucrative opportunities across various fields.

Web-based job search platform Indeed has released its rankings for the best jobs of 2025, showcasing a variety of high-paying and rapidly growing professions. Topping the list is the role of veterinarian, which boasts remarkable median salaries and job growth projections.

According to CNBC, for anyone seeking new employment opportunities or contemplating a career shift, Indeed's findings indicate substantial growth across several industries. The list highlights the best 25 jobs, having examined factors such as median salary, hiring trends, and job stability. Notably, every position on the list offers at least a starting annual salary of $75,000.

The number one job, veterinarian, has emerged with an impressive median annual salary of $139,999 (approximately NT$463,000). The projected growth rate for this field from 2021 to 2024 stands at 124%, reflecting the increasing demand for pet care as the number of pet owners continues to rise.

Coming in second is the sales role, which shows promise with a median salary of $182,487 (about NT$603,000) and job growth of 76%. Significantly, this position does not require advanced degrees, making it accessible for candidates with various educational backgrounds.

Clinical demand for healthcare professionals is also noticeable, with the position of physician ranking third. This job reports a median salary of $225,000 (approximately NT$748,000) and, like sales, anticipates 76% growth by 2024.

The fourth position goes to civil engineer, responsible for the design and maintenance of public infrastructure projects such as bridges and highways. The median salary is projected at $100,872 (around NT$335,000), with substantial growth of 104% expected through 2024.

The fifth slot is occupied by estimators, who earn a median of $99,592 (approximately NT$329,000), with growth projected at 51%

Positions ranked sixth to tenth include defense attorneys, who earn around $145,168, regional managers with median earnings of $80,348, clinical psychologists taking home about $118,597, fire protection engineers at $110,000, and structural engineers making about $110,725.

Considering these figures, it’s clear why job seekers are increasingly inclined toward these professions. The factors driving growth—such as lifestyle changes, population aging, and increased chronic illness care—showcase the shifting employment dynamics across various sectors.

Overall, these rankings not only offer insights for those entering the job market but also serve as guidance for anyone thinking of switching careers.
