Born on September 8, 1996, in Warsaw, Aleksander graduated from the Theatre Academy in Warsaw. Over the past few years, she has been steadily building her acting career. She gained recognition for her roles in "Wojenne dziewczyny," a popular historical series where she played one of the lead roles, "Sala samobójców. Hejter," a film by Jan Komasa that achieved international success, and "Filip," a notable production from 2023 that showcased her versatility as an actress.
Critics have praised her talent, and audiences appreciate her naturalness and authenticity on screen. In addition to her acting career, Aleksander often engages in important social campaigns and speaks about issues affecting young people. She is active on social media, sharing insights into her work and daily life.
As she prepares for her appearance on "Kuba Wojewódzki," fans can expect an engaging conversation about her acting challenges, new projects, and how she navigates the world of show business. The episode is anticipated to include interesting anecdotes and witty responses from the actress.
Vanessa Aleksander's rise in the Polish show business gained momentum after winning the 15th edition of "Taniec z gwiazdami," a popular dance competition. Known for her roles in productions such as "The Office," "Ojciec Mateusz," "Rojst," and "Krew," she is eager to share more about her experiences in the industry.
In a recent interview, Aleksander candidly discussed the financial struggles faced by actors working in theaters. She pointed out that many actors do not earn a decent living, which can make it challenging for them to sustain themselves. Reflecting on her early days in theater, she revealed that right after graduating from the Warsaw Theatre Academy, she earned only 210 zł net per performance. "I can say that in the theater, after finishing theater school, I received 210 zł for a performance, and that was after obtaining higher education, where that job was somewhat of a 'golden ticket.' You can't survive on 210 zł per performance in any city if there are only three or four performances a month," she shared.
Despite the low pay, Aleksander continued to perform because it fulfilled her childhood dream. "It has changed a bit, but I don’t want to complain. I would rather do something ambitious and interesting with engaged creators for a lower rate than a project with a huge contract where I won’t feel it and won’t feel that I’m putting my heart into it," she concluded.
In the same interview, Aleksander clarified that while she struggled financially in the theater, she was also working on film sets, which allowed her to make ends meet. "I worked on film sets too, so I could support myself. This is a bit taken out of context, so I prefer to state it clearly. I was very lucky that I could work simultaneously on many projects. But if I had to survive only on my salary from the theater and individual performances, I think it would have been very difficult for me," she explained.
As she moves forward in her career, Aleksander hopes that the financial situation for young actors has improved, although she admits that she cannot speak from experience since she has left her theater position. "I hope it has changed, but I can’t comment on that because I don’t have that knowledge," she noted.
Vanessa Aleksander is not just a rising star in Polish cinema; she is also a voice for her generation, advocating for better conditions for young actors in the industry. Her upcoming appearance on "Kuba Wojewódzki" is expected to shed light on her journey and the realities of being a young artist in Poland.
As the entertainment world watches her ascent, Aleksander continues to inspire many with her dedication to her craft and her willingness to address the challenges that come with it. With her talent and determination, she is sure to make an even greater impact in the years to come.
