Students achieve improved pass percentages in UBSE exams this year

The Uttarakhand Board of School Education (UBSE) has officially announced the results for the Class 10 and Class 12 examinations held earlier this year, revealing a significant improvement in the overall pass percentages for both grades. On April 19, 2025, at 11 am, the results were made available online, allowing students to check their scores through the board's official websites.

The UBSE conducted the Class 10 and Class 12 board exams from February 21 to March 11, 2025, with the date sheet issued on January 4. This year, the pass percentage for Class 10 students reached an impressive 90.77%, while Class 12 students achieved a pass percentage of 83.23%. These figures indicate a positive trend compared to previous years, showcasing the hard work and dedication of the students.

In 2024, a total of 116,379 students appeared for the Class 10 exam, and 94,768 students took the Class 12 exam. Last year, the pass percentages for Class 10 and Class 12 were 89.14% and 82.63%, respectively, marking an improvement in this year's results. The board's consistent efforts to enhance educational standards seem to be paying off, as students continue to achieve better results.

During the announcement, the UBSE also highlighted the performance of last year's toppers. In 2024, the Class 12 topper position was shared by Piyush Kholia and Kanchan Joshi, both of whom scored 488 out of 500, achieving a remarkable percentage of 97.60%. Meanwhile, the Class 10 topper was Priyanshi Rawat, who secured a perfect score of 500 out of 500.

Students eager to check their results can do so by visiting either uaresults.nic.in or ubse.uk.gov.in. To access their scorecards, they will need to enter their roll number, date of birth, and registration number. The scorecards available online are provisional and should be downloaded for reference.

While students can view their results online, they will need to collect their official mark sheets from their respective schools a few days after the announcement. These mark sheets will provide detailed subject-wise scores and personal information necessary for future academic pursuits.

The UBSE's commitment to improving educational outcomes is evident in the results. The pass percentages for both Class 10 and Class 12 have shown a consistent upward trajectory over the past few years. In 2023, the pass percentage for Class 10 was 85.17%, while Class 12 stood at 80.98%. This year's results reflect the board's dedication to fostering a supportive learning environment for students.

Moreover, the UBSE has taken steps to ensure that students are well-prepared for their examinations. The board's decision to hold exams earlier in the year, from February 21 to March 11, has allowed for a more streamlined evaluation process. This change has been well-received by both students and educators, as it provides ample time for results to be compiled and released.

As the education landscape continues to evolve, the UBSE remains focused on enhancing the quality of education in Uttarakhand. The board is expected to release additional details regarding district-wise performances and the overall rankings of students in the coming days.

In summary, the UBSE's announcement of the Class 10 and Class 12 results marks a significant milestone for students across Uttarakhand. With improved pass percentages and a commitment to educational excellence, the future looks promising for the students of the state. As they celebrate their achievements, the board's efforts to support and guide students through their academic journeys will undoubtedly continue to yield positive results.
