UTBK SNBT 2025: Essential Documents And New Regulations

Students prepare for changes in UTBK SNBT 2025 requirements and exam structure.

As the date approaches for the Ujian Tulis Berbasis Komputer Seleksi Nasional Berdasarkan Tes (UTBK SNBT) 2025, students across Indonesia are gearing up for one of the most critical exams of their academic careers. Scheduled to take place from April 23 to May 3, 2025, the UTBK SNBT is a significant step for high school graduates aiming to enter state universities.

This year, the exam will see some changes compared to previous years, particularly in the eligibility criteria, exam structure, and the number of questions. The UTBK SNBT 2025 is open to graduates from SMA, SMK, or equivalent institutions from 2025, 2024, or 2023, with a maximum age limit of 25 years as of July 1, 2025. This is a shift from the previous year, where the age limit was set at 22 years for graduates from 2024, 2023, or 2022.

Participants will tackle a variety of tests, including the Scholastic Potential Test (TPS) and a Literacy Test. The TPS will cover General Reasoning, Knowledge and General Understanding, Reading and Writing Comprehension, and Quantitative Knowledge. The Literacy Test will assess students' proficiency in Indonesian and English literacy, along with Mathematical Reasoning.

To ensure a smooth examination process, candidates must bring specific documents to the test venue. According to the official guidelines from the SNPMB 2025, required documents include:

  • The SNBT participant card
  • An identity card (student card, KTP, SIM, or passport)
  • An original certificate of graduation for the 2024 class
  • A legalized photocopy of the diploma for the 2022 and 2023 classes

For the first time, students are also allowed to wear jeans and sneakers during the exam, provided their attire is neat and appropriate. This change aims to create a more comfortable environment for the participants.

In terms of structure, the UTBK SNBT 2025 will be conducted in one wave over ten days, with two exam sessions per day. This is a notable difference from the 2024 exam, which was held in two waves over 14 days, totaling 28 sessions. The adjustment is designed to streamline the examination process and reduce the duration of the testing period.

Exam participants can expect a range of questions and time allocations that differ slightly from last year. For instance, the TPS for UTBK 2025 will include:

  • 10 questions each for Inductive, Deductive, and Quantitative Reasoning, with 10 minutes allotted for each section
  • 20 questions for Knowledge and General Understanding, to be completed in 15 minutes
  • 20 questions for Reading Comprehension and Writing, with a 25-minute time limit
  • 20 questions for Quantitative Knowledge, allowing 20 minutes to complete

Similarly, the Literacy Test will include:

  • 30 questions for Indonesian Literacy, with 42.5 minutes allocated
  • 20 questions for English Literacy, with a 20-minute limit
  • 20 questions for Mathematical Reasoning, with 42.5 minutes to finish

Another significant change is in the selection of study programs. In 2024, students could choose a maximum of four programs, including two academic (S1) and two vocational (D3/D4). However, for UTBK SNBT 2025, participants can select three or four programs with specific combinations, such as two S1 programs and one vocational program, or one S1 program and two vocational programs. Notably, one of the vocational programs must be at the D3 level.

Payment procedures have also been updated. For the 2024 exam, registration fees were due on the last day of registration. In contrast, candidates for the 2025 exam will have an additional day after the registration closes to complete their payments, accommodating those who may create their accounts on the last day.

The timeline for the UTBK SNBT 2025 is as follows:

  • Account Registration: January 13 – March 27, 2025
  • UTBK Registration: March 11 – March 27, 2025
  • Exam Dates: April 23 – May 3, 2025
  • Announcement of Results: May 28, 2025
  • Certificate Download Period: June 3 – July 31, 2025

With these changes, the SNPMB aims to enhance the examination experience and ensure that students are well-prepared. As students finalize their preparations, they are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the new regulations and practice effectively to achieve their academic goals. The UTBK SNBT is not just an exam; it’s a gateway to future opportunities in higher education, and understanding the requirements is crucial for success.

As the exam date draws nearer, students are reminded to stay informed about any further updates from the SNPMB and to make the most of the time remaining for their studies. With the right preparation and mindset, they can approach the UTBK SNBT 2025 with confidence!
