Universitas Diponegoro Opens Registration For Ujian Mandiri

Students prepare for critical exams as competition heats up for higher education opportunities.

As students across Indonesia gear up for higher education, Universitas Diponegoro (Undip) has opened registrations for its Ujian Mandiri (UM) for the Bachelor's (S1) program. This year, the UM is being conducted with a computer-based written test (CBT Online), allowing students to take the exam online. According to Undip's official PMB website, the test material is aligned with the UTBK-SNBT curriculum, covering a range of subjects including the Scholastic Potential Test, Literacy Test, and an Essay component.

For students looking to apply, there are several general requirements for registration. Candidates must be graduates from SMA, SMK, or MA in 2023, 2024, or 2025, or equivalent, and must be no older than 25 years as of July 1, 2025. The registration fee for the UM is set at Rp 350,000, and students can register online from April 9 to June 12, 2025.

The online examination is scheduled to take place from June 16 to June 26, 2025, with the results of the selection process being announced on July 8, 2025. Detailed information about the registration process can be found on the PMB Undip website.

In addition to the UM, students must also prepare for the Ujian Tulis Berbasis Komputer (UTBK) 2025, which is a critical requirement for participating in the Seleksi Nasional Berdasarkan Tes (SNBT). The UTBK registration period runs from January 13 to March 27, 2025, with the actual exam taking place between April 23 and May 5, 2025. The results will be announced on May 28, 2025, and certificates can be downloaded from June 3 to July 31, 2025.

To participate in the UTBK, students must meet specific requirements. The registration fee is Rp 200,000, which is non-refundable except for participants enrolled in the KIP Kuliah program. The UTBK tests will cover various subjects, including the Scholastic Potential Test, which assesses general reasoning abilities and knowledge comprehension, as well as literacy tests in both Indonesian and English.

Students are also reminded of the dress code for the UTBK; formal attire is mandatory, while casual clothing such as t-shirts and sandals are prohibited. Furthermore, candidates can choose up to four study programs, allowing them to tailor their applications to their interests and strengths.

With approximately 860,976 participants vying for 259,564 seats in the nation's public universities, competition is expected to be fierce. This underscores the importance of thorough preparation for both the UM and UTBK exams, as students seek to secure their future in higher education.

As the registration periods approach, students are encouraged to stay informed by checking the official SNPMB website for the latest updates and information. With these critical exams on the horizon, the pressure is on for students to perform well and achieve their academic goals.
