Ukraine Restructures Military As Conflict Intensifies

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has taken a decisive step to reshape the leadership of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, appointing Major-General Andriy Hnatov as the new chief of the general staff on March 16, 2025. The accusations underline a troubling trend of mass desertion, noting that the unit's combat capability has been severely jeopardized.
