UAE Welcomes Ramadan 2025 With Diverse Iftar Initiatives

From upscale buffets to community outreach programs, Iftar experiences abound this Ramadan.

This Ramadan, the UAE is witnessing an impressive spread of Iftar initiatives aimed at bringing people together to celebrate the spirit of community, generosity, and delicious culinary experiences. Various dining spots from upscale restaurants to local cafes are offering exquisite Iftar meals, allowing families and friends to break their fasts together. With discounts and unique offerings, the opportunities are plentiful.

Kickstarting the observance of Ramadan, Amazon UAE’s ‘Iftar on Wheels’ program is once again making headlines this year. This initiative aims to distribute thousands of Iftar meals and food essentials to underprivileged families across the country. Partnering with the UAE Food Bank, the program has reached over 37,000 beneficiaries since its inception, illustrating the impactful role of community service during this holy month. “During Ramadan, our food donation programme aims to assist families in need,” stated Stefano Martinelli, Vice-President of Amazon Middle East and North Africa. He emphasized the growing commitment, sharing, “Each box we prepare is support for families who need it the most.”

Headlined by notable venues, the UAE's Iftar offerings are as varied as their cultures. For those seeking affordable yet delightful meals, several restaurants are offering Iftar experiences under AED 100. At Querida, located in Al Barsha, guests can indulge in a three-course Mexican-inspired meal for just AED 75, featuring tantalizing dishes such as Birria Quesadilla and classic dessert selections.

Similarly, Juan Valdez Café presents its Colombian twist on Iftar, available at AED 89 per person, providing guests with comforting soups and desserts. Allo Beirut serves traditional Lebanese dishes, where diners can expect delightful offerings for AED 89 as well. For those with barbecue cravings, Hikaya transforms its dining ambiance to offer succulent grills for the same price.

This Ramadan also sees many upscale dining establishments showcasing elaborate Iftar buffets. For example, the Taj Dubai offers its guests a modern twist on traditional dishes for AED 270 per person. The lavish spread at the Kan Zaman tent at Sheraton Jumeirah Beach Resort invites families to relish time-honored recipes served across lavish buffets with live cooking stations, alongside live Arabic entertainment working to create the perfect evening atmosphere.

The culinary experience continues at Fi’lia, located at the SLS Dubai, where Chef Célia Stoecklin has curated luxurious menu options inspired by Italian and Middle Eastern flavors. The carefully crafted menu includes dishes like Pizza Al Salami E Mozzarella and Pollo alla Griglia, priced at AED 265 per person. Similarly, Timo Restaurant provides traditional Mediterranean and Arabian dishes, enriching the Iftar experience with its vibrant offerings, available for AED 220 per person.

A unique experience can be found at the Abu Dhabi EDITION’s Alba Terrace, where the sunset view enhances the offerings of AED 245 for exquisite Italian-inspired dishes alongside local specialties. Family-friendly iftars are also thriving at the Bab Al Nojoum, promising fun, entertainment, and delicious buffets under AED 295.

Highlighting community involvement, MINT Café is offering specially curated Iftar mocktails within its three-course menu for AED 149, inviting families with kids to join in the celebration. “Generosity is at the heart of Emirati culture,” noted Abeer Mohamed, Human Resources Specialist at Amazon UAE, encapsulating the spirit of Ramadan shared by all as she participated volunteering for the ‘Iftar on Wheels’ initiative.

Restaurants such as COYA celebrate cultural connections by offering Latin-flavored Iftars, priced at AED 249. Dai Pai Dong invites guests on culinary adventures inspired by the travels of Ibn Battuta, featuring Caribbean and Arabic dishes.

The Ramadan experience is not just limited to upscale dining. Local eateries and hotels also celebrate with diverse menus and themes throughout the month, ensuring there’s something for everyone. From comforting classics to creative fusions, these Iftar experiences are intended to craft memorable moments and shared joy.

With abundant options, this year’s Ramadan Iftar initiatives throughout the UAE make it easier than ever for families and friends to unite for this sacred occasion. The diverse culinary offerings bridge communities, promote cultural fluidity, and exemplify the generosity and spirit of giving unique to this month, fulfilling the promise of Ramadan as not only a time for fasting but for sharing and caring.
