OAKLAND, Calif. -- An early morning crash involving a vehicle and utility pole has left one driver critically injured, prompting investigations by Oakland police.
The incident occurred shortly after 4 a.m. on Monday near 54th Avenue and International Boulevard. According to the Oakland Police Department's release, the wreckage showed the vehicle wrapped around the traffic pole, which appeared to nearly split the car in half. Meanwhile, on the East Coast, Cinnaminson police reported another incident where two individuals were injured after their car struck a telephone pole. This collision took place shortly after 5 p.m. on Sunday on Route 130 North, near the Branch Pike.
Emergency crews arrived on the scene and worked for about one hour as the vehicle was extricated and towed away. The two occupants of the car were transported to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
