TVS Motor Company has officially launched the 2025 edition of the Ronin motorcycle at a competitive price of Rs 1.35 lakh (ex-showroom). The Ronin continues to carve its niche in the ever-expanding segment of modern-retro motorcycles, boasting upgrades and new features aimed at enhancing rider experience.
Vimal Sumbly, Head Business - Premium at TVS Motor Company, expressed enthusiasm about the launch, stating, "With the 2025 edition, we bring in a new palette of stunning colors along with upgraded safety features and are excited to bring this refreshed model to our customers." The new model features two fresh colors: Glacier Silver and Charcoal Ember, replacing the previous Delta Blue and Stargaze Black. This vibrant update is expected to resonate well with the brand's loyal customer base.
The 2025 Ronin is powered by the same 225.9cc, single-cylinder engine with no mechanical changes from previous models. It generates 20.4 PS at 7,750 RPM and 19.93 Nm of torque at 3,750 RPM. The power is transmitted through a 5-speed transmission system, providing the motorcycle with versatile riding capabilities ideal for urban commuting as well as weekend escapades.
Notably, the motorcycle now includes improved safety features such as a dual-channel anti-lock braking system (ABS) available from the mid-variant level, enhancing stability during rides, especially under challenging conditions. The base variant will still feature single-channel ABS. The mid-variant starts at Rs 1.59 lakh, giving customers more options without compromising on safety.
Another significant aspect of the 2025 Ronin is its advanced riding technology. The bike is equipped with Glide Through Technology (GTT), which allows smooth low-speed riding, ensuring ease of maneuverability, especially beneficial in traffic. Alongside, the motorcycle boasts features like adjustable levers, LED lighting, and digital instrumentation, providing riders with enhanced functionality and visual appeal.
Sumbly highlighted the bike’s modern-retro essence, stating, "TVS Ronin has redefined modern-retro motorcycling and embodies the essence of #Unscripted motorcycling, empowering riders to explore unchartered paths with confidence and style." This feedback suggests TVS's commitment to marrying classic aesthetics with contemporary technology, aiming to capture the hearts of motorcycle enthusiasts across India.
The overall design remains sophisticated yet sporty, featuring golden accents on the fuel tank and side panels, which, combined with the golden front forks, add to its premium look. Suspension-wise, it utilizes 41mm upside-down front forks and includes advancements such as 7-step adjustable preload for the rear monoshock, catering to various riding preferences.
With mounting competition from brands like Royal Enfield and Honda, the introduction of the Ronin lineup appears strategically timed. The Ronin competes against similar models such as the Royal Enfield Hunter 350, fulfilling the growing demand for stylish yet practical motorcycles.
The expectations from market analysts reveal optimism around the 2025 TVS Ronin, foreseeing increased interest from both new riders and seasoned motorcycle enthusiasts. The ability to customize riding experiences through modern features sets the Ronin apart as not just another motorcycle but as part of the rider's lifestyle.
The TVS Ronin continues to cement its place within the competitive motorcycle segment, anticipated to attract riders who seek individuality without compromising performance. The launch of the 2025 model reflects TVS Motor Company's dedication to innovation and customer satisfaction.
With the motorcycle industry rapidly advancing, the TVS Ronin may well be riding the wave of modern developments, fueling the growing passion for two-wheeled adventures.
