Tula Announces Planned Outages And Water Disruptions January 24th

Residents urged to prepare for electrical outages and limited water supply throughout the day as maintenance work is scheduled.

Residents of Tula are facing scheduled electrical outages and temporary water supply disruptions on January 24th, as outlined by local authorities. Tula City Electric Networks announced the planned outages aimed at ensuring public safety and service reliability through necessary maintenance work.

These electrical outages will begin at 9:00 AM and are expected to last until 5:00 PM. Specific neighborhoods will experience power interruptions affecting several streets. Notably, residents on Shishkin, K. Liebknecht, and R. Luxembourg streets, as well as portions of 2nd Khomutovka, will be without power for the entire duration. Meanwhile, other areas including Kaulya, Novomoskovskaya, and parts of Shishkin street will see outages from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

The planned outages are primarily due to tree trimming and the installation of metering devices, activities aimed at enhancing service efficiency. Such maintenance is commonplace and necessary for electric reliability, as failing to conduct these procedures could lead to more significant issues down the line. "Отключение электричества связано с обрезкой деревьев и установкой прибора учета," noted Tula City Electric Networks.

Residents should also be aware of the accompanying water supply disruptions occurring on the same day. Starting at 10:00 AM, cold water service will be limited to various addresses until the completion of the work. Affected areas include not just residential buildings, but also commercial properties, with specific mentions of Gorky street (1), Nedelina street (14, 14a, 16, 18, 20), and Kommunalnaya square (2, 4). Local municipal authorities have acknowledged the inconveniences caused by these disruptions and are working to mitigate the impact.

To manage the disruptions, water delivery will be organized upon request. This service aims to assist those who may be significantly inconvenienced by the sudden loss of water supply. Residents are encouraged to make requests where necessary, particularly those living on Lutova street (15) and Eletskaya street (8a). Additional details and any updates concerning the outages can be obtained via phone at *6048 or 236-048.

The anticipated weather on January 24th includes mostly cloudy skies with no significant precipitation expected. Temperatures will range between -14 and -19 degrees Celsius during the night, with daytime highs reaching -10 to -15 degrees. This weather condition, being harsh for locals, compounds the inconveniences brought about by the planned outages. Providing power and water continuity during winter challenges becomes ever more important.

While the planned disruptions are inconvenient, they are part of Tula's efforts to improve and sustain utility services for its residents. Local officials and service providers are hopeful for quick and effective completion of the work to minimize disruption duration. Residents are encouraged to stay informed and proactive about their needs during this time.

With these outages scheduled, it is prudent for residents to take early preventive measures such as stocking up on water supplies and planning accordingly during the outage hours. Clear communication from the city’s utilities about these outages ensures residents remain informed about when to expect power and water again.
