TUI has taken significant steps to improve its offerings for travelers with new initiatives including the introduction of sensory hotel rooms and the expansion of flight routes and frequencies, all slated to debut in the summer of 2025.
The TUI BLUE Nausicaa Beach, located in Larnaca, Cyprus, and the TUI BLUE Aura, situated in Ibiza, are set to open on April 15, 2025, and May 1, 2025, respectively. These hotels will feature sensory rooms, which have been uniquely crafted to provide calming, low-stimulation environments for neurodivergent guests and their families.
According to Louise Bates, Director Brands & Product at TUI Hotels & Resort, “TUI is committed to making holidays accessible for all customers, including neurodivergent guests. Overstimulating environments can be challenging, so we are taking steps to make our hotels more inclusive.” She emphasized the importance of these new sensory rooms as part of the company’s evolution to cater to diverse guest needs, aiming to create “a calm and comfortable space, helping families enjoy a truly relaxing holiday.”
The sensory rooms come equipped with soft lighting and interactive sensory equipment, allowing guests to unwind and rejuvenate during their stay. Further enhancing this experience, all frontline staff at the two hotels will undergo enhanced neurodiversity awareness training. The Kids’ Club facilities will also implement ‘Now and Next’ boards—tools meant to help children understand the flow of activities as well as revised communication cards for children's specific needs.
TUI's new sensory rooms are just one side of their expansive summer offerings; the travel company is also ramping up its flight services following exceptional customer demand. With the growing interest for international travel, TUI is launching 16 new routes alongside increased frequencies on 30 existing routes from over 20 major UK airports.
With more than 100 destinations worldwide, TUI allows travelers to explore popular vacation spots such as the Canary Islands and the Caribbean. The airline has announced exciting new routes, including:
- East Midlands to Boa Vista
- Exeter to Arrecife-Lanzarote (operational year-round)
- London-Stansted to Enfidha, Tunisia
- Glasgow to Sharm El Sheikh (operational year-round)
- Newcastle to Hurghada and many more settings such as Ibiza and Tenerife
The adjustments also include daily flights on 13 popular routes, including Birmingham to Palma and Manchester to Sharm El Sheikh. “With warmer weather on the way, TUI is excited to offer our customers even more opportunities to create unforgettable holiday memories during Summer 2025,” said a TUI spokesperson, highlighting the company’s dedication to providing increased flexibility and choices.
Adding to its portfolio, TUI is also set to launch TUI BLUE Tuy Hoa, marking its entry to the luxury travel market in Phu Yen, Vietnam. This hotel combines modern luxury with authenticity and is expected to redefine Vietnam's travel sector.
The TUI BLUE Tuy Hoa boasts 221 beautifully furnished rooms, including luxurious suites and is anticipated to become the go-to destination for wellness tourism as it offers guests access to holistic relaxation services. Designed with contemporary aesthetics, the hotel is set against stunning backdrops of lush paddy fields and serene beaches.
“Phu Yen has been regarded as one of Vietnam’s best-kept travel secrets—a coastal province offering untouched beaches and dramatic landscapes,” TUI representatives noted. The hotel aims to showcase both cultural experiences and leisurely retreats, setting the standard for premium hospitality offerings.
Guests of TUI BLUE Tuy Hoa can expect to indulge themselves with curated dining experiences, emphasizing Vietnamese culinary traditions along with international options, all expertly crafted to provide unforgettable gastronomic experiences. The hotel will also cater to corporate retreats and large-scale events, solidifying its position as not only a luxury escape but also as a major player within the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) tourism sector.
Wellness tourism continues to grow, and TUI BLUE Tuy Hoa is prepared to meet this demand with its Wellness & Healing Club, offering treatments and practices geared toward today’s health-conscious traveler.
Overall, TUI's latest initiatives—including the sensory rooms and expanded routes—are clear indicators of their commitment to inclusivity and customer satisfaction as they embrace market changes to reshape the travel experience for many travelers. With TUI BLUE Tuy Hoa, they aim to meet the needs of luxury travelers seeking relaxation and authenticity, firmly positioning Phu Yen on the global travel map.
