Over 9 lakh students participated in the Telangana Intermediate exams, with significant improvements in pass percentages this year.

The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) has officially announced the results for the TS Inter 1st and 2nd year examinations today, April 22, 2025. Students can access their results on the official website, tgbie.cgg.gov.in, where they will need to enter their hall ticket numbers to download their marks memos.

In total, 9,97,012 students appeared for the Intermediate Public Examinations (IPE) this year, which were conducted from March 5 to March 25. The results were revealed during a press conference held at Vidhya Bhavan in Hyderabad, led by Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and attended by Transport and Backward Classes Welfare Minister Ponnam Prabhakar.

This year, the overall pass percentages for the TS Inter exams are notable. The pass percentage for the 1st year stands at 66.89%, while the 2nd year has a higher pass percentage of 71.37%. This marks a slight improvement compared to last year's results, where the 1st year recorded a 60.01% pass rate and the 2nd year had a 64.19% pass rate.

For the 1st year exams, a total of 4,88,430 students participated, with 3,22,191 students passing. The breakdown reveals that female candidates outperformed their male counterparts, with girls achieving a pass percentage of 73.83% compared to boys at 57.83%. In contrast, for the 2nd year, 5,08,582 students appeared, and 3,33,908 passed, translating to a pass percentage of 65.65%.

The TSBIE has also announced that supplementary examinations will be held starting May 22, 2025, for students who did not pass their initial exams. To qualify, students must achieve at least 35% marks in each subject and an aggregate of 350 out of 1000 marks. For students with disabilities, the passing criteria are slightly adjusted, requiring a minimum of 25% marks.

As students check their results, they are advised to ensure that their details on the marks memo are accurate. The memo will include crucial information such as the student's name, roll number, marks obtained in each subject, and overall qualifying status. Students can download their marks memos from the TSBIE website shortly after the results are announced.

In the previous year, the overall pass percentage for the 1st year was 60.01%, while the 2nd year saw a pass percentage of 64.19%. The pass rates for 2023 were lower than in 2022, where the 1st year had a 67.16% pass rate and the 2nd year achieved 63.49%.

The TSBIE has provided detailed instructions on how to check results online. Students can visit the official website, click on the designated result link, and enter their hall ticket number to access their results. Additionally, results will also be available on alternative platforms like Hindustan Times and other educational portals.

For students who feel that their results do not accurately reflect their performance, the TSBIE will facilitate a re-evaluation process, allowing them to apply for re-checking their papers for a fee. The detailed process regarding this will be shared after the results announcement.

Overall, the announcement of the TS Inter results is a significant event for students in Telangana, as it marks a crucial step in their academic journey and future educational prospects. With improved pass percentages this year, the TSBIE is hopeful that these results reflect the hard work and dedication of the students and the educational institutions involved.
