Trenitalia Launches New Paris-Marseille Rail Service

Tickets now on sale for competitive pricing and convenient travel starting June 15.

Italian train operator Trenitalia has officially opened ticket sales for its new summer train service connecting Paris and Marseille, aiming to provide competition against France's national railway company, SNCF. Commencing June 15, this service will offer four daily return trips from Paris-Gare-de-Lyon to Marseille Saint-Charles, making stops at strategic locations along the way, including Lyon Saint-Exupéry, Avignon TGV, and Aix-en-Provence TGV.

Tickets became available on March 11, with attractive pricing aimed at enticing travelers. A standard class seat starts at €27, whereas passengers opting for business class can secure tickets from €37. Marco Caposciutti, CEO of Trenitalia France, remarked, "These are attractive, very competitive prices, but this is not a low-cost service. We are sticking to the same strategy of offering the best value for money."
