Meanwhile, in the UAE, H.E. Mrs. Mubaraka Ibrahim is making strides as the Acting Chief Information Officer of Emirates Health Services. Ibrahim's extensive expertise positions her at the forefront of healthcare technology innovations. During her recent interview, she shared insights on the future of health IT and the challenges faced by the sector: "We are focused on driving innovation and digital transformation within the UAE's healthcare sector."
Wendy Redshaw's leadership at NatWest has also marked significant changes within the financial services sector. Since becoming the Chief Digital Information Officer, Redshaw has prioritized customer-centric solutions and the digital transformation of banking services. Reflecting on her early tenure at NatWest, she noted, "This is a digital bank in the making, and hopefully, with the results we've seen, we've achieved our aims."
Before her CDIO role, Redshaw served as CIO for collaborative technology solutions at Deutsche Bank and has decades of experience within major financial organizations including Lloyds TSB and Barclays. At NatWest, she oversees digital operations with more than 4,500 people across four locations worldwide. Redshaw's team is currently executing significant technological improvements, supported by planned investments totaling £3.5 billion from 2023 to 2025.
NatWest has begun adopting generative AI capabilities to improve customer interactions. Redshaw successfully implemented advanced technologies, such as the digital assistant Cora+, which leverages AI to provide seamless customer service.
