Yuzuki was out dog-walking with several friends when she stepped off the riverbank and slipped, leading to her falling directlyinto the water. Reports indicate she was swept away quickly, highlighting the swift currents of the river. A passing woman overheard the friends expressing their concerns about Yuzuki's sudden disappearance and immediately called emergency services.
According to local police, authorities received the emergency call shortly afterward, which prompted their immediate response. "A girl fell and was swept away, as reported by passersby who called 110," officials stated. Approximately 40 minutes after she fell, Yuzuki was located by the Yamanashi Prefectural Disaster Response Helicopter, known as Akafujii. Rescuers found her approximately one kilometer downstream from where she had fallen. Unfortunately, she was found unconscious and without any signs of life.
Following her rescue, Yuzuki was transported to the nearest hospital where, tragically, medical staff confirmed her death.
