But not every incident happened on the highways. A concerning collision on the Nieuwe Vlissingseweg involved two individuals—a pedestrian and the rider of a scooter—on the bicycle path on the N661. This mishap occurred around 7:50 AM, as the young man on his scooter collided with the young woman. Both sustained injuries requiring the immediate presence of police and medical assistance, highlighting the risks faced by non-vehicle road users.

A truck driver lost control earlier, resulting in them crashing through a roadside sign on the way toward Vlissingen.
