Toyota GAZOO Racing Unveils Innovations At Tokyo Auto Salon 2025

TOYOTA GAZOO Racing (TGR) will showcase innovative advancements at the upcoming Tokyo Auto Salon 2025, which is scheduled to be held from January 10 to 12 at Makuhari Messe, Chiba. Under the central theme of "Car-making at Nürburgring," TGR aims to highlight the lineage of quality and engineering excellence inherited from rigorous motorsport activities.

This year sees TGR exhibiting alongside Daihatsu, having relocated to the North Hall of the venue. The showcase promises to be vibrant and engaging, featuring displays of vehicles and custom parts, including the popular "LAND CRUISER BASE," which emphasizes the joy of personal vehicle customization.

During the three-day event, visitors can look forward to dynamic activities, including talk sessions led by professional drivers, engineers, and other experts, alongside live demonstration runs of the vehicles shown. 1. GR YARIS (NÜR 24h)
TGR and ROOKIE Racing plan to mark Toyota's return to the Nürburgring 24-hour endurance race with the evolved GR Yaris, which made its debut at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2024. This model is equipped with the newly developed GAZOO Racing Direct Automatic Transmission, showcasing Toyota's commitment to high-performance and endurance racing.

2. GR YARIS M Concept
To push the performance envelope, TGR will present the GR YARIS M Concept, which features an under-development midship-mounted 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder turbocharged engine. This model aims to integrate revolutionary driver-first principles through continuous testing and refinement under racing conditions.

3. GR YARIS Aero Package (Prototype)

8. LAND CRUISER BASE
On February 1, 2025, Toyota’s LAND CRUISER BASE will be reestablished as the main retailer for Land Cruiser enthusiasts, aiming to provide customized services and events, fostering community through shared experiences.

Subaru will also make waves at the Tokyo Auto Salon with the debut of its STI complete car S210 prototype. This model incorporates technology and expertise gleaned from the challenging Nürburgring 24-Hour Race, reinforcing Subaru's longstanding commitment to performance and innovation.
