Tom Green County Jail Sees 15 Bookings In 24 Hours

Recent arrests highlight issues of violence and substance abuse in San Angelo

SAN ANGELO, Texas – In a span of just 24 hours, corrections officers at the Tom Green County Jail reported 15 bookings, highlighting ongoing issues with crime in the area. The charges ranged from assault and unlawful carrying of a weapon to driving while intoxicated, with some individuals facing multiple charges.

From 7 a.m. on Saturday, April 19, 2025, to 7 a.m. on Sunday, April 20, 2025, the Tom Green County Detention Center saw a notable influx of individuals, with a total of 441 currently booked in the facility. Among the charges recorded, several involved serious offenses such as assault causing bodily injury involving family violence and driving under the influence.

One of the most significant cases involved MONEY MAYFIELD, who was booked at 4:56 a.m. on April 20 for assault causing bodily injury related to family violence. Notably, MAYFIELD was held without bond, indicating the severity of the charges. This case underscores the pressing issue of domestic violence in the community.

Another individual, TOMAS BRIONES, was booked shortly before MAYFIELD at 4:04 a.m. on the same day. He faces charges for unlawful carrying of a weapon and driving while intoxicated, with a blood alcohol content (BAC) of 0.15 or higher. Like MAYFIELD, BRIONES is also being held without bond, reflecting the serious nature of his alleged offenses.

In addition to these cases, TIFFANY MCGUIRE was booked at 1:00 a.m. on April 20 for criminal trespass, also without bond. This charge adds to the list of offenses that have raised concerns among local law enforcement regarding public safety.

Several other individuals were also booked for various charges, including CASSIE HERNANDEZ and SUSAN GARRETT, both of whom were charged with assault causing bodily injury and released shortly after booking on a bond of $5,000 and $2,500, respectively. Their quick release raises questions about the effectiveness of bail and whether it adequately addresses the risks posed by repeat offenders.

Other notable bookings include KORY GOMEZ, who was charged with driving with an invalid license and possession/delivery of drug paraphernalia, and DELILAH GARCIA, who faced charges for public intoxication. Both individuals were held on bonds of $662 and $462, respectively, reflecting the ongoing issues with substance abuse in the region.

Moreover, ULISES RODRIGUEZ-PORTALES was booked for a miscellaneous ICE hold, while ARTHUR CEJA and RYAN LUEDERS were both booked for public intoxication. CEJA and LUEDERS were held on bonds of $462 each, indicating a common issue of alcohol-related offenses contributing to the jail's population.

Brady Overstreet was booked for driving with an invalid license, while ALEX GONZALEZ-DENA and JOSE SALAZAR-SANCHEZ were also booked on ICE holds, illustrating the diverse range of charges being processed at the facility.

In a more complex case, ESTEBAN RODRIGUEZ was booked on multiple charges, including criminal simulation and providing false identification, with a bond set at $464. This case highlights the challenges law enforcement faces in addressing identity-related crimes.

ERICKA DIAZ was booked for communicating while driving under the influence, indicating the dangers of impaired driving that continue to plague the community.

The Tom Green County Jail's booking report emphasizes the ongoing challenges faced by local law enforcement in maintaining public safety. With a total of 15 bookings in just one day, the data reflects a concerning trend of violence, substance abuse, and other criminal activities.

As authorities continue to grapple with these issues, they remain committed to ensuring that all individuals charged with crimes are presumed innocent until proven guilty. The information provided by the Tom Green County Sheriff's Office is intended to inform the public but should not be used to establish any person’s actual criminal record.

In light of these developments, community members are encouraged to engage in discussions about safety and preventive measures that can be taken to reduce crime rates in the area. As San Angelo faces these challenges, the hope is that through community efforts and law enforcement collaboration, a safer environment can be fostered for all residents.
