On March 1, 2025, the Tokyo Girls Collection (TGC) celebrated its 20th anniversary with the Spring/Summer Fashion Show held at the iconic Yoyogi National Gymnasium. This year’s theme, "Here We Go!", encapsulated the vibrant spirit and forward-looking ethos of the much-anticipated event.
The show was headlined by the debut of 22-year-old model Kōki, who wore a stunning red dress as she graced the runway. She was not alone on this memorable occasion, strolling alongside her co-stars from the film "Kamisama no Ekubo", actors Keisuke Watanabe (31) and Keiya Tsuna (27), showcasing the camaraderie and collaborative spirit of the entertainment industry.
Among the standout features of the evening was the dazzling dance performance led by actor and singer Ken to Nakajima (30). Serving as a secret guest, he wowed the audience with showmanship alongside the four-member dance performance group, s**t kingz. Together, they entertained the crowd with hits such as Arashi's "Sakura Sake" and Snow Man's "Brother Beat”, drawing enthusiastic responses from the audience.
The audience was not only treated to fashion but also welcomed special guest Shigeru Ishiba (68), dressed casually in denim and sneakers, who joined the festivities to promote the upcoming Osaka-Kansai Expo, which is set to kick off on April 13.
Making her debut on the runway was the 17-year-old daughter of actor Taiyo Sugiura and former Morning Musume star Nozomi Tsuji, Noa. Alongside her were other notable newcomers, including 17-year-old figure skater and talent Saki Honda, who captured hearts with her enchanting princess look.
The significance of this year’s TGC goes beyond just fashion; it marks two decades of the event and promises new beginnings. "The theme is 'Here We Go!' with the message of moving forward to create the future together," remarked the event organizers.
Featured models such as Ayami Nakajo (28), Haruka Fukuhara (26), Yuki Kashiwagi (33), and Aimer were present, radiantly showcasing collections from numerous brands. The stage was alive as they flaunted this year’s spring and summer trends.
Among the notable ensembles was the statement-making clothing of Ryota Mizusawa, whose mashup of tulle and sheer designs stole the spotlight. His unique style, complete with distinct mashed hair, emphasized individuality and allowed him to stand out.
Entertainment continued with vibrant live performances as groups like FANTASTICS and ME:I graced the stage. Their energetic sets contributed to the celebratory atmosphere, fostering connections between the models, performers, and the captivated audience.
Finally, the evening was spectacularly brought to a close by Snow Man’s Raul (21), marking his twelfth appearance at TGC with a triumphant finale.
