The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds will headline the FourLeaf Air Show at Jones Beach during Memorial Day weekend next month, a show that typically draws several hundred thousand attendees, officials announced on Wednesday. Formerly called the Bethpage Air Show, the name change reflects the rebranding of the Bethpage Federal Credit Union to FourLeaf Federal Credit Union, which has been the title sponsor of the show since 2004.
Linda Armyn, FourLeaf's president and CEO, expressed pride in continuing support for the event, stating, "We are proud to continue to support and help produce this extraordinary show as the FourLeaf Air Show at Jones Beach. Aviation has always been the foundation of FourLeaf and Long Island, and we look forward to honoring that Memorial Day weekend." She also extended gratitude to the New York State Parks and other sponsors that contribute to the event.
This year marks the 10th appearance of the Thunderbirds as headliners, alternating annually with the U.S. Navy Blue Angels. "We are thrilled to welcome the United States Air Force Thunderbirds as this year’s headliners and look forward to an amazing show by all our performers," said George Gorman, the Long Island regional director of the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historical Preservation.
The air show will take place on Saturday, May 24, and Sunday, May 25, 2025. Last year, the show celebrated its 20th anniversary at Jones Beach, drawing nearly 460,000 attendees, making it the most highly attended event to date.
This year’s lineup features a variety of military performers, including the U.S. Army Golden Knights Parachute Team, the U.S. Marine Corps F-35B Lightning II, the U.S. Navy F-35C Demo Team, the U.S. Navy Rhino Demo Team, the U.S. Navy EA-18G Growler Demo Team, the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD), the 106th Rescue Wing New York Air National Guard, and the 105th Airlift Wing unit of the New York Air National Guard.
Civilian teams will also take to the skies, including the American Airpower Museum Warbirds, reigning Air Masters Cup Series champion Aarron Deliu, Warbird Thunder featuring the North American SNJ Texan—a former World War II Navy Advanced Training Aircraft—the Farmingdale State College Flying Rams, and local pilot David Windmiller.
To enhance visitor experience, FourLeaf will release its Air Show Mobile App on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store later this month, providing attendees with essential information about the show.
The air show is free to the public, but attendees should note the standard $10 parking fee per vehicle will apply. However, those with a 2025 NYS Empire Pass Card can access most facilities operated by the state Parks Department and the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation without additional charge. The Empire Pass Card, available for an $80 fee, offers unlimited vehicle access from April 1 to December 31.
