The competition for the best voice in Greece continues as the beloved coaches of 'The Voice of Greece' face increased challenges! Beginning Sunday, December 22, at 21:00, the charismatic host Georgios Kapoutzidis welcomes viewers to the third and most demanding phase of the music competition: the Battles!
During this process, the coaches enlist the help of famous artists for song assignments and preparation for their team members. Each coach has 15 singers on their team, who are split up to perform unique duets, arranged as six pairs and one trio. Only one contestant will earn the ‘ticket’ to the first live episodes, known as the Cross Battles, but not without the possibility of another coach swooping in with the steal button!
The stakes are high as the requirements from the coaches increase, and the tension among the contestants rises as new acts take the stage of the biggest music competition. Tonight, viewers will witness the spectacular musical collaboration between Elena Paparizou and Kaiti Garbi, performing timeless hits from 'the Kaiti we loved, love, and will continue to love,' igniting the stage of #TheVoiceGR!
According to 'The Voice of Greece,' the Battles have officially begun, presenting the most challenging phase of the musical contest. Each coach, alongside their celebrity partners, assigns songs to their team members, divided to showcase their talents. Only one contestant from each group will progress to the next round, barring any steal attempts from other coaches.
The first episode kicked off with significant moments, including Christos Mastos' reveal about his participation in the film “Ipraho.” He shared, 'I am very happy to have been part of the film related to the greatest artist who ever existed. There’s a side to this film very different from what the world knows… We will see the young Stelakis (who has his traumas) fighting with Kazantzidis… I am very happy to have left part of my soul in this film.'
Aaron and Artemis took the stage for what was truly a 'hard' Battle. Elena Paparizou found herself at a crossroads, equally impressed by both contestants. 'This level is one to be envied even on the English version of The Voice,' enthused Mazonakis, highlighting their exceptional performance. The decision Elena faced was incredibly tough, as both talents deserved to move forward.
A captivating musical collaboration unfolded between Kaiti Garbi and Elena Paparizou, who performed some of their greatest hits. Fernando and Despina brought their unique battle to the stage, creating another tough decision for Giorgos Mazonakis. His dilemma of 'who managed to convince him and secure the coveted advancement to the live episodes?' echoed throughout the night.
Following the stunning performances of Rania and Evaxenia, Pano Muzourakis faced yet another difficult choice. True to his style, he chose to complicate his selection process, prompting reactions from his fellow coaches. His characteristic 'chattiness,' as it was referred to, frustrated Mazonakis, who expressed his exasperation.
'The Voice of Greece' airs every Saturday and Sunday at 21:00 on SKAI. Stay tuned to enjoy this season's thrilling battles and musical moments as the competition intensifies!
