Twelve contestants competed for a place in the final, with Mega, Il Cello, Gianni, and Mickaël Gallo emerging victorious.

The semi-final of the 14th edition of The Voice captivated audiences on Saturday, April 26, 2025, as twelve talented contestants battled for a coveted spot in the final. Broadcast live on TF1, the competition showcased the best of the season, with each participant vying for the public's vote to secure their advancement. The stakes were high, as only four would make it through to the grand finale, scheduled for May 3, 2025.

This year's semi-final brought a fresh twist with the introduction of Jean-Louis Aubert as the "super coach." He joined the established panel of coaches, which included Florent Pagny, Zaz, Patricia Kaas, and Vianney. Aubert opened the show with a medley of his hits, setting an electrifying tone for the evening.

Each coach presented three talents, who performed songs of their choice in a format that placed the decision entirely in the hands of the viewers. The atmosphere was charged with anticipation as the contestants delivered heartfelt performances, knowing that their fate rested on the audience's response.

Team Vianney kicked off the evening with Mega, who delivered an energetic rendition of Jacques Brel's "Quand on n’a que l’amour." Despite some vocal wobbles, Mega's passion resonated with the audience. Vianney praised him, saying, "You have progressed. You are becoming more beautiful and you sing better." Following Mega, Kilonga performed Billie Eilish's "Birds of a Feather," captivating the audience with her pure voice and stunning choreography. Iman concluded the trio with a touching performance of Louane's "Maman," which she dedicated to her mother, who made a surprise appearance on stage. Ultimately, it was Mega who won the public's favor and secured a spot in the final.

Next up was Team Florent Pagny, starting with Emilio Amico, who impressed with a powerful version of Conchita Wurst's "Rise Like a Phoenix." Pagny lauded Emilio's "impressive natural technique." César Varadero followed with "Les yeux de la mama" by Kendji Girac, paying tribute to his grandmother, and received high praise from Zaz for his heartfelt performance. The highlight of the team was the trio Il Cello, composed of Levon, Sébastien, and Salvatore, who delivered a stunning interpretation of Josh Groban's "You Raise Me Up." Their harmonious blend of voices earned them a standing ovation from their coach, who declared, "It’s enormous what you’re doing!" The audience echoed this sentiment, sending Il Cello through to the finale.

The evening continued with Team Zaz, where Neven opened with a daring rendition of Brel's "Ne me quitte pas," earning a standing ovation from the coaches. Zaz expressed her emotional reaction, saying, "You tore my heart out." Gianni then took the stage with a bold performance of Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody," which impressed Patricia Kaas, who remarked, "He has guts. He made his version of this song." Maag, who had recently given birth, closed the team's performances with a delicate interpretation of "Né en 17 à Leidenstadt," showcasing her resilience and artistry. In a surprising turn, it was Gianni who won the viewers' votes and advanced to the final.

Finally, Team Patricia Kaas presented their talents, beginning with Laelia, who lit up the stage with Charlotte Cardin's "Feel Good." Aidan Rohr followed with a heartfelt rendition of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah," praised by Kaas for his authenticity. Mickaël Gallo closed the performances with a rock-infused version of Daniel Balavoine's "Chanteur," impressing Kaas with his versatility. The audience responded positively, and Mickaël became the last finalist selected for the season.

With the results in, the four finalists were revealed: Mega from Team Vianney, Il Cello from Team Florent Pagny, Gianni from Team Zaz, and Mickaël Gallo from Team Patricia Kaas. This year's finale will be particularly notable as it features an all-male lineup, a first in the show's history, sparking discussions about the representation of female artists in the competition.

The upcoming final promises to be an exciting culmination of the season, with each finalist poised to showcase their unique talents. They will have the opportunity to perform songs of their choice and will also sing duets with their coaches, alongside special guest performers yet to be announced.

As the excitement builds for the finale on May 3, viewers are left to ponder who will succeed Alphonse, the winner of season 13. With a mix of powerful performances and emotional backstories, the stage is set for a thrilling conclusion to The Voice 2025.
