Tesla Rolls Out Holiday Update With FSD Enhancements

FSD version 13.2.2 and exciting new features arrive for Tesla users this holiday season.

Tesla has kicked off its highly anticipated holiday update, much to the delight of Full Self-Driving (FSD) users. The rollout of software version 2024.45.25.5 began over the weekend, providing customers with not only the latest features of the coveted FSD, but also several fun seasonal enhancements.

This year's holiday update includes FSD version 13.2.2 for customers equipped with the AI4 hardware. According to Tesla's Vice President of Artificial Intelligence, Ashok Elluswamy, the rollout is expected to proceed smoothly throughout the week. "We expect all HW4 vehicles with FSD to migrate to this version in the coming week or two," Elluswamy stated, emphasizing the company’s commitment to timely updates.

All models featuring the new AI4 or HW4 systems across North America are set to receive the FSD capabilities bundled within this extensive update. The new software build promises significant improvements and exciting new features, enhancing the overall Tesla experience for users during the festive season.

This year’s holiday update offers numerous standout features, including new app capabilities such as Apple Watch integration, allowing users to control various functionalities from their wrist. Other features include the highly requested ability to view Dashcam and Sentry Mode footage directly on the Tesla screen, as well as the option to start Light Shows—perfect for holiday entertainment.

The navigation system also received notable upgrades, with options like Search Along Route, which lets drivers find points of interest without deviated routes, and enhanced arrival energy predictions at the destination. Users will benefit from weather information right at their destinations, including precipitation forecasts—a feature many drivers are sure to find handy.

Entertainment too has received significant attention; the update now includes the SiriusXM streaming app for the Tesla Model 3, Model Y, and Cybertruck. The Tune-In player has received improvements as well, eleving the audio experience inside the vehicle. Not to be overlooked, the update also introduces festive elements like the quirky Cybertruck Santa Mode, transforming the driving experience to one reminiscent of Santa's sleigh gliding through the snow—with animations of reindeer and elves.

Several users, including influencers from the Tesla community, have already begun showcasing their experiences with FSD v13.2.2. One user shared footage emphasizing the self-driving system's ability to navigate challenging situations. The narrative surrounding the performance of FSD continues to evolve, marked by Tesla's ambitious push to refine these automated capabilities.

For Tesla owners utilizing the older AI3 hardware, there’s also good news. Elluswamy noted upcoming plans for FSD version 12.6, expected to launch before the year's end. This will introduce enhancements like updated speed profiles and improvements from previous builds, reassuring HW3 customers of continued support and advancement.

Tesla's holiday updates have somewhat become tradition, combining the spirit of the season with innovative technology. Each year, these updates not only celebrate the holidays with unique features but also promote new capabilities and enhancements across its vehicle lineup, continuing to solidify Tesla's position at the forefront of automotive technology.

Users across the Tesla ecosystem can look forward to more enhancements and refinements as these updates roll out. The excitement surrounding FSD, enhanced navigation, and the much-loved seasonal features contribute to the anticipation felt by Tesla drivers as they partake in this holiday update experience.
