Tesla Plans To Launch Optimus Robots This Year

Tesla Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) is gearing up to make waves with its ambitious plans for the Optimus humanoid robot, as CEO Elon Musk announced on Wednesday the company’s intent to produce several thousand units by the end of 2025. Production costs, according to Musk, could fall below $20,000 once operations reach approximately one million units annually, asserting, "The price will be set by market demand, and I expect demand will not be a problem even at high prices."

He remarked, "The toughest part by far is improving the design of Optimus for ease of manufacturing ... so it can be made in significant numbers."
