Telecom Firms Launch Improved Service Plans For Families

New initiatives by MTS and Beeline promise enhanced connectivity and support for housing needs.

Telecom companies are rebalancing their offerings to improve service conditions for customers, marking the end of February 2025 with significant announcements. MTS and Beeline, two leading operators, recently unveiled plans aimed at enhancing the connectivity experience for users, whether at home or abroad.

MTS introduced the 'Group for Close Ones' feature, allowing users to include family members under one plan. This innovative service lets customers link up to five numbers to theirs, providing shared benefits and lower rates. Each added member can enjoy the 'MTS for Close Ones' tariff, which includes 25 GB of internet, 500 minutes, and 100 SMS at no cost. The primary account holder will incur 450 rubles per month per participant, offering substantial savings for families.

“We felt it was important for our workers to benefit from the program and receive certificates for improving housing conditions,” said Dmitry Zylyov, General Director of Arkhangelsk Pulp and Paper Mill, discussing their contribution to housing assistance. Over the past nine years, their involvement has helped 134 families from the mill, with 39.2 million rubles allocated for support.

Meanwhile, Beeline has enhanced its roaming tariffs for those traveling to Belarus. Sergey Anokhin, Beeline's General Director, promised improved connectivity stating, “We strive to provide our customers with high-quality services not only at home but also when traveling.” Starting now, the cost for 1 GB of internet is set at 115 rubles per day, with unlimited lower-speed access available after data thresholds are met.

Families from APPM recently gathered to receive certificates aimed at improving their housing conditions. This year alone, the mill invested over 6.6 million rubles to support workers amid rising property prices. Lyudmila Marsavina, who received assistance, expressed her gratitude, saying, “This will be very good support to pay off our mortgage.” The initiative not only helps families financially but also shows how companies can support their workforce.

Continuing this support ripple, Anzhelika Safina, another employee benefiting from the housing program, highlighted the company's role, stating, “It’s great to see the company support young families.” Their investment has undoubtedly made it easier for employees to navigate the housing market.

For MTS, the family group feature enhances not just communication but strengthens ties among users. Conversations within this group will be free, and internet usage for popular messaging apps won't deduct from their data plans. Customers interested can initiate their group using the 'My MTS' app, where managing the plan becomes straightforward.

The recent adjustments reflect the growing emphasis telecom companies are placing on long-term customer relationships and family-oriented services. Beeline’s upgrades to their roaming services, combined with the practical benefits provided by MTS and the housing support from APPM, signify a new phase where customers come first.

With the number of families participating increasing year on year, there’s growing awareness of the need for companies to invest. Whether it's aiding families with housing costs or enhancing communication capabilities during travel, these initiatives serve as important reminders of corporate responsibility.

Each of these announcements contributes to fostering community relationships, reinforcing how both the telecom industry and local businesses like APPM are committed to providing tangible benefits to their patrons, making life just a little easier for families.
