Telangana Teacher Eligibility Test Results Announced

Over 135,000 candidates took the TS TET, but only 31.21% passed this year’s challenging exam.

The Telangana Department of School Education has officially declared the results of the Telangana Teacher Eligibility Test (TS TET) 2025. With the results announced on February 5, candidates who took the examination are now able to check their scores and download their scorecards from the official websites: tstet2024.aptonline.in and schooledu.telangana.gov.in.

This year, the TS TET assessment took place from January 2 to January 20, 2025, and witnessed the participation of 135,802 candidates. The results revealed only 42,834 of those candidates—approximately 31.21%—met the qualifications necessary to pass the exam. Those who scored the required marks are now eligible to pursue teaching positions within both private and government education systems across Telangana.

The TS TET is pivotal for aspiring teachers, as it assesses their capabilities and knowledge necessary for teaching roles. The examination consisted of two papers: Paper 1, aimed at candidates seeking positions for classes 1 to 5, and Paper 2, intended for those wishing to teach classes 6 to 8. Each paper was valued at 150 marks, and candidates were evaluated on multiple-choice questions, with no negative marking for incorrect responses.

For candidates who wish to check their results, here's how to do it easily:

  1. Visit the official TS TET website: tstet2024.aptonline.in.

  2. On the homepage, locate and click on the link labeled "Download Results - TSTET 2024".

  3. Enter the required credentials: your Hall Ticket number and Date of Birth.

  4. Submit the information; your TS TET scorecard will appear on the screen.

  5. Download and print your scorecard for future reference.

Alongside the examination results, the TS TET final answer key has been made available, which was finalized after reviewing any objections raised by the candidates on the provisional key released earlier. Candidates were allowed to submit their concerns until January 27, providing an avenue for them to contest any answers they believed were incorrect.

For general category candidates, the minimum qualifying mark was set at 60%, whereas OBC candidates were required to score at least 50%. SC, ST, and differently-abled candidates needed to achieve 40% to pass. This differentiation allows for inclusivity, recognizing the varied educational backgrounds and support needs of the candidates.

The TS TET pass certificate, valid for life, is imperative for those who qualify, granting them eligibility to apply for teaching positions within the state’s educational institutions. This makes the results not only significant for immediate job applications but also for the long-term career development of the candidates.

For candidates who did not pass this year's exam, there is the opportunity to retake the TS TET at future scheduled dates, ensuring they can strive to meet the requirements for their desired teaching positions.

For more details about the TS TET exam, including updates and future exam dates, candidates are encouraged to regularly check the official websites mentioned above. With the results now available, candidates can assess their eligibility and work toward fulfilling their aspirations of becoming educators.
