The Telangana Board of Secondary Education (BSE) has officially announced the results for the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) or Class 10 examinations for the year 2025. The eagerly awaited results were declared on April 30, 2025, at 2:15 PM, following a press conference attended by the state’s Chief Minister, Revanth Reddy. Students across the state can now access their scores online at bse.telangana.gov.in, as well as through various other educational portals.
This year, the exams were conducted from March 21 to April 4, 2025, at approximately 2,650 centers statewide. A total of 5,09,403 candidates registered for the exams, including 2,58,895 boys and 2,50,508 girls from 11,547 schools. The overall pass percentage for regular candidates stands at an impressive 92.78%. In terms of gender performance, girls outperformed boys, achieving a pass rate of 94.26% compared to the boys' 91.32%, marking a difference of 2.94% in favor of female students.
Out of the total candidates, 4,96,374 were regular students, and 4,60,519 of them successfully passed the examinations. This reflects a significant improvement from last year’s pass percentage of 91.31%. The performance of private candidates, however, was notably lower, with a pass percentage of only 57.22%. Among them, 6,141 out of 10,733 private candidates passed, with boys achieving a pass rate of 55.14% and girls 61.70%.
Mahabubabad district emerged as the top-performing area in the state, boasting a remarkable pass rate of 99.29%. In contrast, Vikarabad district recorded the lowest pass percentage at 73.97%. Furthermore, 4,629 schools achieved a 100% pass rate this year, while two schools reported zero pass results, indicating that all students from these institutions failed.
To pass the TS SSC exams, students needed to secure a minimum of 35% in each subject, except for the Second Language, where the passing mark was set at 20 out of 100. Students who did not meet the required criteria will have the opportunity to appear for supplementary exams scheduled to take place later this year, offering them a chance to improve their scores.
Students can check their results by visiting the official BSE website and entering their roll number in the designated login area. The results will be available in a provisional format, which students should print for their records. However, they are advised to collect their original mark sheets from their respective schools once they are issued.
The Telangana Board has also introduced a new grading system for the SSC results, which includes grades for co-curricular activities. The certificates will not use traditional classifications such as first, second, or third class; instead, they will simply indicate whether the student has passed.
As the results were initially scheduled to be announced at 1 PM, the delay to 2:15 PM heightened the anxiety among students and parents alike. Many had been eagerly awaiting the outcome of their efforts over the past academic year.
In addition to the excitement surrounding the results, the board has also provided options for students who wish to challenge their scores. Students dissatisfied with their marks can apply for re-evaluation or recounting of their answer scripts. The application window for this will remain open for a limited time following the announcement of results.
As the academic year progresses, students who passed will now prepare to enter the next phase of their education, selecting from various streams such as Science, Commerce, or Arts for their Intermediate studies. The results not only mark a significant milestone in their academic journey but also set the stage for future educational endeavors.
In summary, the 2025 TS SSC results reflect a positive trend in student performance across Telangana, with a notable increase in the overall pass percentage and a commendable showing by female students. As the state continues to prioritize educational excellence, these results serve as a testament to the hard work and dedication of both students and educators alike.
