Telangana SSC Class 10 Results Show Improvement With 92.78% Pass Rate

Over 5 lakh students registered for the exams, with girls outperforming boys once again.

The Telangana Board of Secondary Education (BSE) has announced the results for the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Class 10 examinations today, April 30, 2025, at 2:15 PM. This year, a total of 5,09,403 students appeared for the exams, which were conducted from March 21 to April 4 across 2,650 centers in the state. The overall pass percentage for this year stands at an impressive 92.78%, marking a notable improvement from last year’s 91.31%.

Students who took the exams can check their results on the official websites, including bse.telangana.gov.in, results.bse.telangana.gov.in, and results.bsetelangana.org. To access their results, students will need to enter their roll number and other required credentials.

Among the candidates, 2,58,895 were boys and 2,50,508 were girls. The results reveal that girls outperformed boys once again, with a pass percentage of 94.26% compared to the boys’ 91.32%, resulting in a 2.94% lead in favor of female students. This trend reflects the consistent academic performance of girls in the state.

The Telangana Board has also introduced a new grading system this year, which includes both marks and grades on the scorecards. Students will receive grades for co-curricular activities as well, and the certificates will not mention classifications like first, second, or third class. Instead, they will simply indicate whether a student has passed.

For students who did not pass, the Advanced Supplementary Examinations are scheduled to take place from June 3 to June 13, 2025. Students must pay the examination fee by May 16, 2025, to be eligible for these supplementary tests. Those who fail in more than two subjects will need to reappear for the entire board exams in the next academic year.

In terms of school performance, this year saw 4,629 schools achieving a perfect 100% pass rate, while two schools reported a zero percent pass rate, indicating that all students from those institutions failed. Residential schools led the performance charts with a remarkable pass rate of 98.79%, followed by social welfare residential schools at 97.15% and private schools at 94.21%.

The results also indicate a significant improvement in the performance of private candidates, with 57.22% passing this year compared to 49.73% last year. Among private candidates, girls achieved a pass percentage of 61.70%, surpassing their male counterparts by 6.56%.

Students who are not satisfied with their marks can apply for re-verification of their answer sheets. The application window for this process is open until May 15, 2025, with a fee of ₹1,000 per subject. The re-verification includes re-totalling of marks and checking for any unvalued answers.

Following the declaration of results, students are advised to check for any discrepancies on their scorecards and contact their school authorities promptly if needed. The provisional marksheets will include essential details such as student name, roll number, district, subject-wise marks, grades, and CGPA.

The Telangana SSC results reflect a positive trend in academic performance, as evidenced by the overall pass percentage increase. The Board of Secondary Education has implemented strict measures to ensure a fair examination process, with 2,650 chief superintendents and over 28,100 invigilators overseeing the exams.

This year’s results not only highlight the academic achievements of students but also set a benchmark for future examinations, encouraging continuous improvement in educational standards across Telangana.
