Telangana Class 10 Results Show Strong Performance

Over 92% of students pass as Telangana announces SSC results for 2025

The Telangana Board of Secondary Education (BSE) has announced the results for the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) or Class 10 examinations for 2025, revealing a commendable overall pass percentage of 92.78%. The results were declared on April 30, 2025, by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy at the Ravindra Bharathi Auditorium in Hyderabad, following a slight delay due to his prior commitments in Vijayawada.

This year, a total of 5,09,403 students registered for the exams, which were conducted between March 21 and April 4 across 2,650 centers in the state. Among these candidates, 2,58,895 were boys and 2,50,508 were girls. The pass percentage among regular candidates was notably high, with boys achieving 91.32% and girls outperforming with a pass rate of 94.26%. In total, 4,60,519 candidates passed the exams.

Private management schools reported the highest pass percentage of 94.65%, with boys at 93.15% and girls at 96.54%. Aided schools followed with a pass percentage of 90.65%, while Zilla Parishad (ZP) schools and government schools lagged behind at 89.13% and 83.83%, respectively.

Subject-wise performance showcased remarkable achievements, especially in language subjects. The highest pass percentage was recorded in the Second Language, with a staggering 99.93%, followed closely by Social Studies at 99.43%, Third Language at 99.19%, General Science at 96.87%, Mathematics at 96.18%, and First Language at 98.62%. These figures highlight a consistent trend of strong performance in language subjects compared to previous years.

For private candidates, 10,733 students appeared for the March 2025 exams, with an overall pass percentage of 57.22%. Among them, 4,045 boys and 2,096 girls succeeded. This marks an improvement from the previous year's figures, where the pass percentage for private candidates stood at 49.73%.

Mahabubabad district emerged as the top performer in the state with an impressive pass percentage of 99.29%, followed by Sanga Reddy at 99.09% and Jangaon at 98.09%. Conversely, Vikarabad district recorded the lowest pass percentage at 73.97%. Additionally, 4,629 schools achieved a perfect 100% pass rate, while only two schools recorded a 0% pass rate.

Students who did not meet the minimum requirement of 35% in each subject will have the opportunity to appear for supplementary exams scheduled from June 3 to June 13, 2025. The Telangana Board has also introduced provisions for re-verification of results, allowing candidates to apply for recounting of marks by submitting the necessary application along with a fee of Rs 500 per subject by May 15, 2025.

This year’s examination process was marked by stringent measures to ensure fairness, including police deployment and the implementation of Section 144 at exam centers. A total of 2,650 chief superintendents, 2,650 departmental officers, and 28,100 invigilators were assigned to maintain order during the examinations. A 24/7 control room was established at the Office of the Director of Government Examinations, Telangana, to address any issues promptly.

In a related incident, five individuals were arrested in Nalgonda district in connection with an alleged leak of the Telugu question paper for the Class 10 board exam. This incident highlights the ongoing challenges faced by educational authorities in maintaining the integrity of the examination process.

Students can access their results by visiting the official websites, including bse.telangana.gov.in and results.bse.telangana.gov.in. To check their scores, students must enter their roll numbers and other required credentials. The results will include both marks and grades, with grades also awarded for extracurricular activities.

The announcement of the results marks an important milestone for students, as they prepare for the next phase of their academic journeys. With a strong performance this year, the Telangana SSC results continue to reflect the improving educational standards within the state.

Overall, the 2025 TS SSC results demonstrate a positive trend in student performance, building on the previous year's pass percentage of 91.31%. The consistent improvements over the years—from 86.6% in 2023 to 90% in 2022, and 100% in both 2021 and 2020—underscore the dedication of students and educators alike in striving for academic excellence.
