Teenager Ryan Marshall Dies After Andover Car Crash

ANDOVER, Hampshire - A tragic car crash claimed the life of 15-year-old pedestrian Ryan Marshall just three days before Christmas, leaving his family and friends heartbroken.

The incident happened on December 21, 2021, at approximately 6 PM, when Ryan was struck by a silver Ford Fiesta on New Street, near ATS Tyres. He was taken to the hospital but sadly passed away from his injuries the following day, December 22.

Ryan's mother shared her grief, stating, "Ryan was a lovely, caring boy with a cheeky smile and wicked, cheeky sense of humour. He was loved so much by me, the family and everyone who knew him. We are all very heartbroken he was taken from us." Her heartfelt tribute highlighted the deep impact of his loss on their family and the community.

Authorities reported the incident to Hampshire Police, who confirmed the driver, a 29-year-old woman from Andover, was arrested on suspicion of driving whilst unfit through drugs. A police spokesperson said, "We are still appealing for any witnesses to please come forward and speak to police. Were you in the area at the time? Perhaps you were driving through the area and may have dashcam footage which captured something?"
