DELRAY BEACH, FL - A tragic high-speed crash on January 27, 2022, resulted in the deaths of six people and has led to significant consequences for the driver, Noah T. Galle. On Monday, Galle, now 20, pled guilty to six counts of vehicular homicide and was sentenced to 12 years in prison.
The fatal incident occurred on U.S. 441 around 11 p.m. when Galle, driving his 2019 BMW M5, was traveling at speeds reported to be more than 151 mph. A Nissan Rogue, operated by Mirlaine Julceus, was struck from behind, leading to a horrific rollover crash. Tragically, all six occupants of the Rogue were killed: Mirlaine Julceus (45), Remize Michel (53), Marie Louis (47), Saint Michel (50), Filaine Dieu (46), and Vanice Percina (29).
According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, during the crash, Galle’s BMW collided with the rear of the Nissan Rogue, causing it to flip and roll over before coming to rest upside down. Galle’s vehicle veered off the road and stopped on the shoulder.
Following the incident, multiple lawsuits were filed against Galle and his parents. Galle’s defense attorney, Julian M. Kessel, stated during the proceedings, "Claims Galle was under the influence of anything were completely inaccurate. There is no evidence he was intoxicated on the night in question." No charges relating to alcohol or drugs were filed against Galle at any point.
On January 6, 2025, Galle agreed to a plea deal, admitting his culpability for the crash. His sentence includes not only prison time but also seven years of probation after his release, 800 hours of community service, participation in a victim impact panel, and completion of a 12-hour driving course. Galle's driver's license has been revoked for three years following his prison term.
The families of the victims have been vocal about their grief and the need for heightened awareness around the dangers of reckless driving. According to reports by BocaNewsNow.com, the victims’ families have called for greater actions to promote road safety and stricter penalties for aggressive driving behaviors.
Reflecting on the incident, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office has reminded the community about the grave risks associated with high-speed driving and the need for strict adherence to traffic laws. They emphasized, "High-speed driving not only endangers the driver but also innocent lives on the road." This harrowing case serves as a stark reminder of the potential tragedy lurking on the highways and the necessity for responsible driving.
Galle's sentencing shines light on the broader issue of road safety and the far-reaching effects of reckless behavior behind the wheel. Even as his legal troubles begin to resolve, the families of the victims will carry the grief of their loss with them for the rest of their lives.
