Tamil Nadu NMMS Results 2025 Announced Today

Over 230,000 students participated in the NMMS examination, aiming to support education for low-income families.

The Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE), Tamil Nadu, has officially declared the results for the National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship (NMMS) Examination conducted in February 2025. This announcement, made on April 12, 2025, marks a significant milestone for many students across the state.

Students can now check their NMMS 2025 results by visiting the official DGE website at www.dge.tn.gov.in. The NMMS examination is an important step in identifying and supporting academically promising students from economically weaker sections. It is organized annually for Class 8 students studying in government and government-aided schools.

This year, over 230,000 students participated in the NMMS Examination for the academic year 2024–2025, reflecting the growing awareness and importance of the scholarship among eligible students and their families. The scholarship scheme aims to provide financial assistance to ensure continuity in education through secondary and higher secondary levels.

To access their results, students must follow a simple process. They should go to the official DGE website, navigate to the “Results” section, and click on the link titled “NMMS Examination February 2025 Results.” After entering their roll number and date of birth, they will be able to view their individual results and check their eligibility status for the scholarship.

In addition, the list of selected candidates will also be published under the “National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme Examination” section on the website. This list includes the names of students who have qualified for financial assistance under the centrally funded scheme.

The NMMS scheme is designed to recognize and assist talented students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds by offering annual scholarships. This support enables them to pursue their education and reduces dropout rates, addressing a critical need in the education sector.

For the 2024–2025 academic year, the NMMS examination was held on February 22, 2025. The results will include important details such as the student’s roll number, name, parents’ names, school name, district, category, and the marks obtained in both the Mental Ability Test (MAT) and Scholastic Ability Test (SAT).

Students who have qualified for the scholarship must follow the next set of instructions as directed by their respective schools or the DGE. This process typically includes the submission of necessary documents for verification and completion of formalities related to scholarship disbursement.

For any concerns or clarifications, students are advised to contact their school authorities or refer to the official website for the most accurate and updated information. The NMMS scheme not only provides financial support but also aims to bridge the gap between talent and opportunity, particularly in underprivileged communities.

The announcement of the NMMS results is a moment of hope and excitement for many students and their families, as it opens doors to further educational opportunities. With the support of this scholarship, academically talented students from low-income families can continue their education and work towards achieving their dreams.

As the DGE continues to promote educational equity and accessibility, the NMMS scheme stands as a testament to the commitment to nurturing talent across Tamil Nadu. The successful implementation of this initiative will contribute to building a more inclusive and educated society.
