The regional stage of the All-Russian professional competition "Director of the Year of Russia" concluded in Tambov, showcasing exceptional leadership in education. Five finalists emerged as laureates, each recognized for their contributions to their respective institutions.

Among the winners is Maxim Volkov, the head of the Michurinsk Children's Music School named after Sergei Rachmaninov. His achievements, along with those of the other laureates, highlight the dedication and professionalism found within the educational sector in the Tambov region.

The competition, part of the national project "Education and Children," attracted 15 participants from various educational institutions across the region. The event aimed to identify and support effective managers while promoting best practices in educational leadership.

The regional stage comprised three rounds, with 14 candidates advancing to the second round. During this phase, finalists were determined based on their performance in various challenges. Contestants delivered public presentations outlining their institutions' activities over the past three years, participated in a discussion titled "For and Against," and engaged in management master classes tailored for focus groups.

In the final round, dubbed "Briefing," the leaders faced questions from interviewers representing the professional community. This format provided a platform for the participants to showcase their leadership qualities and articulate their vision for education.

In addition to Volkov, the other laureates included Anton Zlobin, director of the Kirsanov Agrarian-Industrial College; Ruslan Mishin, director of the Children's Educational and Health Center "Kristall" in Uvarovo; Tatyana Pykina, director of Tsniansk Secondary School No. 1 in Tambov; and Elena Yakovleva, director of the House of Children's Creativity in Rasskazovo.

Tatyana Kotelnikova, the Minister of Education and Science of the Tambov Region, emphasized the importance of professionalism and personal involvement among educational leaders, stating, "The professionalism and personal involvement of the heads of educational organizations are the key to the successful development of the entire education system, because a lot depends on the director."

Each finalist's journey through the competition reflects not only their individual capabilities but also the collaborative spirit of the educational community in Tambov. The rigorous selection process and the diverse challenges faced by the participants served to highlight the skills necessary for effective educational leadership.

The name of the winner of the regional stage will be announced in May, with the selected individual representing the Tambov region at the finals of the All-Russian competition.
